Course Curriculum Overview

This course is an adventurous job and the salary will be decent. It is my passion to become a mariner and face challenges at sea and can travel around the world by getting paid. The teaching method is good as all staff are well experienced in sailing and have good knowledge in the engine of the ship. Term exams will be around for 6 months once a total of 8 seems will be there and not so much difficulty to clear if we work pretty hard.

Class Size: 1500Course Fees: INR 285000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements are pretty good in college as there are few companies visiting the campus every year and if not selected on campus no need to worry if we send resumes to a few shipping companies soon they hire us as there is scope in the marine field. The salary for a trainee is decent around 500. Every year around 60% of students get placed on campus My plan after getting a degree is to join the job.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is around 28500 per year and mess fees will be around 3500 per month totally it cost around 300000 per year and if any special talents are in sports there will decrease in fees and there will be campus placement every year.

Campus Life

As this is marine college rules and regulations are strictly followed and there won't be any grand fest every year but there will be a festival celebrations like Onam, Diwali, Holly etc. There will be sports events every year where everyone can participate and show their talents.

Hostel Facilities

There is a hostel facility available on the campus and it is well maintained all facilities available in the hostel like the gym badminton etc. There is a swimming pool at know college where students can get trained. Room is well maintained in a hostel, food is decent and there will be both veg and non-veg available.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

This course should have a PCM of 60% In class 12th and English 50% and should have cleared IMU CET EXAMS. Fee details and application form is available on the college website. There are no reservations about this college. The admission process is good no need for any improvements

My College Experience

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem onwards students are eligible to attend the placement drives. companies like Amazon , tcs , Accenture, cognizant, sonacomstar, nissiki, valeo, Cap Gemini visit the campus. The highest package offered was 41LPA by Amazon and average package was 4LPA.

Placement Experience:

There is many opportunities given by the collage placement they give training. For placenta and they have some fees structure for placement and that I have paid 2 times 12500 for placement training there are no of opportunities and many companies give good offers for students.

Aspects Of College

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college are very good. The studentrs are given oppertuties and are given chances for comapnies such as amazon, Wipro, JP morgan and such that have a great CTC and a large number of other companies including startups are also available. If the student is interested in entrepernership then the startup cell funds for the ideas of students. There is a seperate higher studies cell for students who want to pursue their higher studies and are given guidance to what steps are to be taken by educational fairs and such

Average College Experience at Sathyabama

Placement Experience:

Placements in my college is good. Average salary package is 5LPA. Companies like Amazon, JPmorgan, Virtusa, Accenture, HCL, Valeo, TCS and other major companies hire many students here. I heard more than 90% students were placed.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements in our college usually start from 6th semester. Students are regulary trained for placements from the 1st year both in aptitude and coding skills. Certain branch students receive training specifiically in their own field Most of the students get placed in IT-service based companies like TCS,CTS,Infosys and Accenture. Not a topper but a good learner

Placement Experience:

In my department, placement will provide in the final year. In pre final year they provide internship training to the students. Nearly 10 to 15 companies gives placement in the core sector. It's packages are 25k average. For non core like IT, minimum of 20 to 40 companies will visit to the campus for placement. It's average package will be 35 to 45k.

coimbatore marine college- a short review

i chose CMC because compared to other college which i apllied this college fee was quite okay and it was easily accesible from my home i applied for AMET college chennai and got confirmed admission from there i didn't get rejected from any colleges i applied you need to clear IMUCET exam to join in this college for BSc course and u shoukd have 50% in your english and more than 65% in your PCM in your higher secondary studies this is the eligibilty criteria for joiing CMC...Read More

Reality of marine field

Its not about the rejection in other colleges it's about fees in tamilnadu compared to other colleges the cmc is best for studies in affordable fees. And also there will be imucet entrance exam the students have to clear that the they allow you to the college. For me it's about last rank in passed students still the cmc took me for studies they won't see rank. And like other colleges it's not 100 percent placement.placement is there if you are skilled and studying student the job is yours.and same the college infrastructure is also a reason for choosing this college it will be look like a ship very attractive and another reason is coimbatore climate near kerala so the climate Will be nice....Read More
