Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is good and the teaching pedagogy is case-based. The faculty are very well experienced and most of them have completed their PhDs in various top colleges like IIMs and IITs. The number of faculty in each specialization is equally divided. The number of faculty currently in the college is around 43 and the intake of students is 410 per year. This makes the faculty: students ratio 1:10. The courses in the first year are usually considered core courses and are mandatory for all the students. In the second year, students can pick the electives of their choice and pursue a specialization. The exams are under the control of the PGPM office and they always conduct the exams as per the schedule, the evaluation and the exam papers are very strict.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Around 100+ companies visited the campus for Summer Internships. The average package for summer Internships is around 1.6 lakhs for the entire duration. As I still haven't completed my summer Internship, I cannot mention anything regarding the project and outcomes of the Internship. The roles offered are very diverse and cover most of the domains from Marketing, consulting, analytics, etc.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placements at the college are pretty decent. The placements are handled by the placement team of the college and they make sure that the placements process goes on hassle-free. The placements for summers usually start in the month of august and go on until the entire batch gets placed. The final placements start around October. The average package for summers is 1.6 lakhs for the entire duration and the average CTC for final placements is 17 lakhs per annum.100% of the students get placed in the placements process.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for 2 years is around 18 lakhs. The course fees cover all the fees including tuition fees, hostel and mess fees, books, and exam fees. The hike policy is decided by the PGPM office and it is usually not disclosed. The bank in the college provides collateral-free loans to the students. A lot of banks are also willing to provide merit-based scholarships to students. Even the administration provides a certain amount as a scholarship for the batch toppers.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is a mix of both stress and enjoyment. There is always some event going on on campus every week by one of the clubs and committees. There are around 12 clubs and 13 committees on campus. The annual fest of the college Dhruva is usually conducted in the last month of January. The college even conducts a leadership conclave and a business conclave named Daksha and Nishtha respectively. The college has one of the best libraries in the country. It has all the facilities, and various applications, software, and research journals. The campus has all the sports facilities including a swimming pool.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel facilities are not up to the mark. The mess food is very poor. The hostel rooms are shared by 2 people, which was initially made for one person. So the rooms feel a little congested. The rooms have an AC, a Study table, a mirror, cup board, a whiteboard, an almirah, and a credenza. The washrooms have geysers and showers. The hostels have 24 x 7 electricity and water supply. All the rooms have Wi-Fi and LAN ports.

Admission

The admission process starts with CAT every November. The CAT exam consists of 3 sections namely, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Ability. The eligibility to attempt the CAT exam is 50+ percent in 10th, 12th, and Graduation. The CAT exam results will be declared in January. Post the results, Group Discussion, Written Ability test, and Personal Interview will be conducted. Based on the marks secured in 10th, and 12th standards, Graduation, GD, WAT, PI, and work experience a composite score will be generated. Based on the composite score shortlists will be released. The minimum percentile for a general candidate student to get admission in IIM Trichy is 92 + percentile overall and 70+ percentile in each section.

Interview Experience

3.5

The selection process consists of GD, WAT, and PI. But due to the pandemic, GD and WAT weren't conducted for us. The Personal Interview will usually consist of a panel of 2 or 3 members. The questions in the interview will be testing various aspects of the candidate. The questions will be usually asked from the CV of the candidate, from the topics related to the candidate's undergraduate, Work Experience (if any), current affairs, hobbies and interests of the candidate, etc.

Actually the student of last semester student only participate in campus interview in a campus interview. they will selected 15 to 20 people in a campus interview. they don't select all the people and they came from local companies near by Salem.village area companies like a factories like cement company , manufacturing companies soda packaging company like that company offered as management training for the one year they will provide 15 to 20000 there will be a increment and promotions on that manufacturing companies . the student selected in campus interview they was well educated student and well known student about the MBA concept and they didn't they didn't fail in any subject they clear all the papers and get the good marks even first class students they are better but my interest was in local companies so I choose to go in big MNC companies but in my college they don't offer campus interview for the big companies they call only local companion so I don't have interested at local companies.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are decent, especially when one talks about its authenticity and compares it to a lot of colleges in the country. We are associated with some good names like EY, Asian Paints, SBI, Vedanta, etc. The mean and median hover around 8.5 - 9.5 LPA mark. Last Highest: 15 LPA and Lowest: 5.5 - 6lpa. Roles offered may not be the best, but they are decent too.
