Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Engineering is a course that I always wanted to opt for because of its versatility and the freedom it offers. I opt for electronics and communication engineering because of my interest in physics and maths, and also because it is known as the evergreen branch of engineering the student-teacher interaction in the college is quite good. they are ready to help us in any matter. We have occasional hackathons and project works happening in the college, and the help provided by the teachers during this time is impeccable. The syllabus mostly will be covered in time, if not additional help by material sharing and doubt sessions will be provided. We have two internal exams followed by a semester examination every semester. There will exams for both lab and theory. Lab exam mainly consists of an internal exam and a final exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is quite affordable, there are a variety of scholarships that you can apply for during the term of college. College also provides a helping hand in attaining the scholarship for the deserved ones.

Campus Life

4.5

You will get to experience some of the best moments of your life in this college. The campus is filled with greenery, there are several parks for EC, CS, ME, EEE, and civil departments. It has a high-end central library and several department libraries. 50 MPBS speed wifi is present which can be accessed within the entire college vicinity. It also has a separate Gym facility, Indoor, and table tennis courts. A huge main ground is also present where many sports events are conducted occasionally. A main Auditorium and a leisure open-air auditorium are also present where all types of fun-filled activities like DJ nights, and annual cultural, union events take place. Several Clubs are present in the college like IEEE, ISTE, NSS, etc, and some special clubs like space club - Calypso, Music club- Rapsody, Dance club - ADC, and many other clubs for reading, coders club, etc, which make college life more interesting

Hostel Facilities

4

There are 3 blocks in Girl's hostel and it's located to the side of NIFT college just a 1 or a 2-minute walk from the GCEK main campus. Admission to the hostel can be availed by submitting a form to the hostel office during the time of admission. selection will be mostly done based on the distance and the cgpa or the marks obtained. 3-4 girls will be accommodated in each room. The hostels are neat and clean, aunties visit every day for cleaning. Toilet and washroom facilities are also good, 24hr wifi is also provided in the hostel. The food provided is good enough, and a monthly feast is also organized. There is no raging present in the hostel.

Admission

Students must qualify for all Kerala Engineering and Medical Entrance Examinations and secure a rank below 10000 to get admission to any main branch. This cutoff may vary every year with the branches you are trying to apply. The application to the college can be done through the government's official site cee.kerala.gov.in Special reservation benefits exist for people falling under EWS, SC/ST/OBC, and General Category.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
