What Students Say

Likes

The faculty and teachers are excellent
The campus is beautiful
You will enjoy the vibe and freedom like nowhere else

Dislikes

The hostel infrastructure is poor
political tensions are always happening

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose the Russian language because indo- Russian relationship is growing constantly. There are 60-70 seats (the most seats) in the Russian language. The teachers are excellent and highly qualified. There are 2 semesters in one year and each semester will be 4 exams ( 3 sessionals and one end-semester exam).

Class Size: 500Course Fees: INR 300 per year

Internships Opportunities

2.5

There are many internships available for students but you have to search for them and apply for them. as a bachelor's student I have never applied for internship but I have seen many seniors applying for it I am giving it a 5-star rating due to the lack of knowledge in this field...

Placement Experience

3.5

After your 5th semesters, campus placement happen Some companies come to the university But there are also many jobs available. Every student who has good control over their knowledge ends up getting a job The salary ranges from 2.5-12 lakh per annum depending on your hard work and skills!

Fees and Financial Aid

The study cost is too low around 300 rs per semester. There is also a scholarship (mcm)for poor students having an annual family income of fewer than 3 lacs (2000rs monthly if residents of hostel or 800 monthly if non-resident)

Campus Life

There are always fests and events going on all year in jnu. If you like to party or dance hard and take part in cultural events, it is the right place for you! There are also many drawing, rangoli-making, and singing competitions going on Bonfires and musical jamming sessions are frequent. Many clubs like music clubs, dance clubs, photography clubs, cycling clubs, etc exist in jnu.

Admission

Anyone clearing the intermediate exams can opt for a bachelor's there is no age limit but you have to give an entrance exam and there will be different cutoffs for different languages and courses. There are also some quotas and reservations as like PWD, defence,sc-st, staff quotas, etc. The application form for the entrance exam is released in July/august of every year and you can fill it out on the jnu official website on Google. The application fee is not more than 1000. The admission process is a little lengthy but it's not tough you will be guided well by the seniors

A Day at College

Likes

Affordable fee structure that makes higher education accessible to students from different financial backgrounds.
Flexible learning system, allowing students to manage their studies alongside other responsibilities.
Opportunity to pursue a degree from delhi university through open and distance learning.

Dislikes

Limited opportunities for regular classroom interaction and face to face engagement with teachers and fellow students.
Students pursuing distance learning may need to rely more on self-study and independent preparation
More regular communication, student support, and interactive academic activities would improve the overall learning experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA English Honours curriculum at DU SOL is relevant and provides a strong foundation in literature and language. The course covers diverse topics that support academic learning and critical thinking. The flexible structure is suitable for distance-learning students. Adding more practical activities, updated study materials, and interactive learning opportunities could further improve the overall course experience.

Likes

My college was a girl's college. There are maximum 60students in a class. Prints were quite cheap in the college cafe.
There were many fest functions in my college. I also participated in the dance fest in my first year. We also used to go on picnics from college.
India's chief guest at the annual function was M Venkaiah Naidu.

Dislikes

College fees were very high for general category people.
The behavior of many teachers was quite rude and arrogant as if they were teaching us for free.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

I chose this college over other because of very less fee that's some of 200 rs approx and this university having nirf 2 which also make a great change from others. Admission process is first you've to clear cuet then apply for councelling on jnu portal then check result, if you clear the cutoff that you will get the admission letter and the date of admission and on that day you come with the given document in the list and you will get the admission....Read More
