Remarks
Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements must take the Joint Entrance Examination (jee main) and obtain valid marks. Candidates must apply through JOSSA counseling after obtaining valid JEE main results. Candidates must fill out college choices and choose NSUT as their first choice based on the branches they need. Generally, all the students fill in the choices based on the prerelease list by some known YouTuber, Aman Bhattarai, though candidates alter the choices based on college preference. Candidates who belong to ST, SC, OBC, and EWS have their reserved seats for admission, they are getting it in lesser numbers as compared to the general category students.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am a Computer Science student at NSUT and I chose it because of great IT placements and because I love to code. In this course, we are not only taught about coding-related stuff but also teaches about some electronics, semiconductors, and mechanical stuff covering variety of subjects. Talking about faculty members, a maximum of them had done Ph.D. but not all, and also some of them have their own published books. All the teachers are used a technical screen to teach students interactively, they are prepared with presentation slides for each topic. Generally, a sem is of about 5 months including mid-sem and end-sem exams, and has class tests also. Generally, all engineering students start preparing for the exams about 10 to 15 days ago and get a good GPA.
Internships Opportunities
NSUT is well known for its placement. There are many companies visited our college including of top all top MNCs and good startups. The internship period starts in the 5th semester. Some of the companies are Google, Microsoft, Atlassian, Flipkart, Zomato, and others. Google is the first company that visited our campus at the start, paying a stipend of 1 lakh for a software engineer role. Microsoft is providing a stipend of 1.25 lakhs. You have to build some good projects to write in your resume.
Placement Experience
5th semester gets scholarships. All MNCs and good startups. The highest is 52 lacs and the lowest is 12 lacs. There is a 99% placement rate in our college in the tech field, the rest of them opted for higher education. To work for MNCs and good startups.
Fees and Financial Aid
The approximate college fees for a year inclusive of infrastructure cost, tuition fees, lab charges, etc. is around 1.9 lakh, and for the next year, it is about 2,02,000 which is around 10000 increment in a year. Although there are other expenses including of hostel and mess fees of around 75000 for a semester. There is various scholarship that student can avail of easily which is provided by the state government and college. NSUT provide a CVPSK scholarship scheme in which students can avail of a maximum of upto100% of tuition fees if they have a valid income certificate. MCM(merit Cums means) scholarship is provided by the Delhi government in which students can avail of 25 %, 50%, and 100% scholarships based on some criteria followed by students. Campus Life
The campus life at NSUT is good overall, it has some famous spots for chilling out some of which are nescii, chill point, fountains, Amul, etc. Moksha is the annual fest which is known for the bests in NSUT, conducted in the month of march. There are some other fests (like resonance) that are conducted occasionally. Talking about the library, the environment is so peaceful and has two floors where students can easily issue any book. Many sports events are conducted by NSUT with other colleges comprises including volleyball, cricket, football, basketball, chess, table tennis, and others.
