Placements have Improved in 2022.

I took the West Bengal Joint Entrance exam and after securing a rank between 10-18k(general trend) I sat for the Wbjee Counselling where I was allotted colleges through 3 consecutive rounds. The first two rounds were upgradation rounds and the last one was mop-up. Although I belong to the general category, my friends who are Sc/St/obc also said that merit rank was the same for them as well. Well financially weak students, have to pay 10k-12k for the entire four years. One thing Wbjee should improve is their customer care people. They charge you for registration,. but when it comes to providing assistance on call, their customer support is worthless.

I choose I.T. because I was always the coder guy from my school days only. So since I had previous knowledge from ICSE/ISC school I chose it. Overall faculty is well-educated PHDs and the student ratio is like 70:30 (boys: girls). Teachers follow the makaut prescribed structure. Provide support materials for help. Term exams were as per makaut system. 4 CAs, and 2 PCAs. It is easy to pass it if you study well before exams.

Most internships are unpaid ones. If you really want to have paid internships which everyone should in 2022, you should try off-campus. Off-campus opportunities can pay you easily around 30-40k per month.

From the 7th sem, you become eligible for placements. companies include EY, Sap laps, Amazon, etc.(2022). Roles include SDE, marketing, etc. Highest-19lpa(Amazon-SDE) Average -4.5lpa.(TCS, infosys, Wipro etc.) On average students do get 3-4 offers. The percentage of students getting placed is around 85%. Even I would try for on-campus placements.

Fees are around 381000/4yrs. This is pretty nominal considering the other colleges. They provide scholarships through SVM. Our college has enough job opportunities, especially in 2022, EY, and Sap labs came with an average 7lpa+. So pretty good.

So earlier due to covid, the fest was not happening but in 2022 they started again and the annual fest elixir is happening probably on mar'23. There are enough books in the library. Your need will be fulfilled. But if you're very selective, then you might have to sacrifice a bit. Classrooms have enough windows for air circulation, a board in the center, and benches. It serves the purpose. So they have societies for orators, literature, drama, etc., Where you can take part. Sports are the real charm. They really treat it like a thing. Football, cricket, tennis, basketball, etc. Are major ones and tournaments held? You can find Instagram pages for elixir etc.

For admission, I did not have to face any interviews since it was a merit-based admission. I got the seat allotment, I was given a date from the counseling portal when I had to submit my first sem fee, and then I had to go to the park Street office of the college to submit my documents. Then they gave me a slip. That's all. They give the list of the docs as well. So you need not worry.
