Eligibility for computer science at sree chithra thirunal college is through passing and having a good rank in the keam examination or by taking the NRI seat which is expensive. the keam examination is held year by year and the application form will be available on the Kerala cee website. the admission process is easy.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose computer science because it is easy compared to other branches of engineering. the faculty-student ratio is good there are about 70 students in the class and sometimes some teachers cannot manage 70 students at a time. faculties are good and have high conceptual knowledge. term exams are conducted two times in a semester and it is easy.
Placement Experience
students from the sixth semester can get placement and are eligible to sit for the placements. many companies visit the campus for placement namely TCS and Infosys are the major recruiters the highest package is about 11lacs and the lowest is about 3lacs per year. about 85% of students get placed every year. my plan is to go abroad for higher studies
Fees and Financial Aid
fee structure for state merit is 36000 per year and management seat is about 68000 per year there are many scholarships for different categories and there are many scholarships for bright students eg students with good ranks in a class may get fee wavier scholarships.
Campus Life
the cultural annual fest of sct is cult a way which is very exciting. other than this cult way there are many programs and fests for sct. all the books are available in the library. classrooms are good with ambient lighting and ventilation. sports are good in the college but there is no football ground for the college. SCT has an active social club named NSS which is highly active and there are many departments clubs.
