If you passed JEE main you are eligible for admission to NIT Jalandhar. JEE main organized by NTA and based on physics, chemistry, and maths. There is a category-based reservation in this exam. GEN, OBC, SC,ST and EWS.

Course Curriculum Overview

This course is very good. Computer science and engineering is the leading department of my college. There is a good faculty-student ratio of about 1:9. There are two minors and an end semester exam in a semester.

Class Size: 87Course Fees: INR 125000 per year

Internships Opportunities

In the third year of study, many companies visit for internships like Amazon, Microsoft, adobe, etc., Many students get paid internships. Minor and Major projects are there to improve the resume and experience.

Placement Experience

The placements at our college are very good. At least 80-90 % of students get placements. Some big MNCs visit our college for campus placements. From the seventh semester, all of the students are eligible for placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is good. Fees are deposited on a semester basis. There are 62500 rupees tuition fees and about 40000 rupees hostel fees. There are very good scholarships from the government such as NSP, and EWS that provide financial assistance.

Campus Life

Utkansh is the annual cultural fest of NIT Jalandhar and TechNiti is the annual tech fest of NIT Jalandhar. It is a library where lots of books are present. Sports are very good at NIT Jalandhar. At least 12-15 cultural clubs are there.

Hostel Facilities

The hostels are very good and the rooms are very clean and clear. the meal is average and the quality is good. There is a simple registration process for a hostel. All of the facilities are provided in the hostel like a washing machine, gym, and sports.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

The course curriculum is interactive and have added various new thing like in the engineering graphics subject they have added the software like autocad instead of traditional drawings... Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

Atharv ki dastan nit ki kahani

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
