Remarks

You should have passed class 12th then you will find a form for this course for February to march on www.cusat. ac. in website and the application fee is 1000 rupees If you belong to a state other than Kerala you would get no reservation, if you belong to Kerala you would get state quota, 80 percent of seats are reserved for state quota The number of centers for the exam is quite low which needs to increase

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I was quite attracted by the good placement of safety and fire engineering in cusat and the kind of uniqueness of this course so I opted for this Faculty are so boring but they have lots of knowledge they just come and read ppy in class but the student ratio will remain at 60 Most of the faculty have done their masters from IIT and nit and they usually tried their best to let you know the concepts Terms exam is on time and it's very easy to pass the sem exam as most of the time faculty tell you the upcoming question in the exam

Internships Opportunities

3

You would get internship opportunities by contacting seniors working in their respective companies. College provides no internship. You would get no stipend for internship We would get a chance to perform the project on fire fighting facilities on storage tanks under the guidance of any senior in any PSU

Placement Experience

5

You will start getting placement opportunities from semester 6 Companies visited are ongc with 22 lakh CTC, Gail with 22 lakh CTC, local with 18 lakh CTC, cairn oil and gas with 13.3 lakh CTC, Alstom with 6.8 lakh CTC, tata power with 6.6 lakh CTC, up with 7.10 CTC, reliance refinery with CTC 7.5 The highest package is offered by Gail with 22 lakh CTC and average package is 8 lakh per annum as a graduate engineer trainee Here placement records for 98 percent of almost every one got placed I just have planned to do well in my job and try to get a higher position in my field

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for the even semester is 43000 and the fee for an odd semester is 45000, other than this you don't have to pay any other fee. If you are from outside Kerala you have to live in a nearby pg and arrange your food so minimum it cost around 8000 per month You would not get any scholarship here, internship are also mostly unpaid as most student do their internship in PSU

Campus Life

5

The annual fest is named dhishna which is conducted in the March and the tech fest is known as Sangam which is conducted in April The library is the best library you would find anywhere in India, it contains all journals and books which you required for the course and other competitive examAmenities in the classroom are very bad as most of the classrooms have the roof of metal shed wh ich makes it difficuilt to attain class in the summer Sports championships are organized from time to time for each sports so you will get a good chance to show your sports skill Edupedia is a group run by a group of students to help others student to get a part-time job teaching

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
