Remarks

The admission process was online. You have to apply for admission via the Delhi university admission portal where you have to fill in all your basic details and attach documents. At my time college admissions were based on a percentage of board exams but now it's based on the entrance exams. Merit lists are released and u have to check to which college you are eligible to apply according to the merit list.

Course Curriculum Overview

My course BA program is English History. My classes are held regularly. The teacher provides reading material. Teachers are highly qualified. Overall teachers are good. Exams are not that difficult. I chose this course because in this course you can focus on extra activities also and I didn't opt for Hons because in that I have to study only 1 subject.

Class Size: 24Course Fees: INR 13910 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are many internships I have seen but I don't know they were from college or not. I have also done one, it was private. Doing an internship adds to your cv and makes it more attractive so you should do it.

Placement Experience

There are campus placements. I don't know much about them as I just passed the second year now. But many companies visit Delhi University and one of my friends got placed in ICICI Bank recently. You can do internships also.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are really low compared to private colleges. My college provides fee concessions to students who need them. There are many government scholarships also for which you can apply. The cost to study in college is less.

Campus Life

There are many fests organized throughout the year in every college at DU in which you will see many big names coming there. Libraries are very well occupied with books. Classrooms are good some of them have AC and smart boards. It is very good in sports and extracurricular activities. There are many societies and clubs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .

Placement Experience:

SRCC has one of the best campuses and our basketball court is so famous that many movies too have been promoted and shot there. Our campus is big too and our auditorium is such that many top personalities have come and spoken there. Even leaders like Barrack Obama too had an interaction with SRCC students in an open air event.

Insights into DRC

After appearing for CUET UG, we make preferences of the desired college and on the basis on the CUET score, colleges are alloted. So, Daulat Ram College was my 7th preference and I was alloted this as per my category and cut off I cleaned. Although it was 7th preferred college, I have no regret of getting into it. Good internship opportunities

The admission process till last year in University of Delhi was on the basis of 12th std marks, but from this new session(2022-2023) there is an entrance test CUET. The eligibility for the same was the student must've cleared 12th board exams and the application form was available on NTA official site. People with reservations(SC, ST, OBC etc..) do get a lot of benefits like for them the marks are less for getting a good college as compared to non- reservation seats.
