Remarks

In 2020, the admissions were based on a merit list. So my percentage was 92.4. And I got admission at the second cut-off. The percentage for this course in other colleges was a bit higher. Eligibility for this course is maths as a compulsory subject in the 12th class. The application form will be available on the Delhi university website in the month of June-July. The admission process was much smoother at that time.

Course Curriculum Overview

This course was in my best interest. The faculty was also good in this college for this course. They will help you in any situation and provide you with the best guidance. Their teaching method is also good, they use projectors for explaining any topics. Computer labs are also good. Teachers are available whenever you need help.

Class Size: 53Course Fees: INR 32840 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for my course were less compared to other colleges' fees for this same course. In my first year, it was 32840 then 33840, and then 36789. So there was an increase in the fees every year. Fee concessions are also done for the required candidates.

Campus Life

They have an annual fest called Kaarvaan. It is usually organized in March. Different departments have their fest. The computer science department has its fest called techmelange. It usually happens in January. Books are available in the college library at the time. Some Classrooms are air-conditioned. Colleges have different societies which are run by students themselves.

The real college experience

Placement Experience:

Gargi, like most other delhi colleges, has a standard placement cell. Students become eligible for placements from the 5th semester onwards, but most requirements happen during the final year. The companies that visit are primarily ed tech based ventures or marketing, HR firms and sales firms. A few that have collaborated over the year has been EY, Decathlon, Urban Company, Deloitte and so on. in terms of packages, the highest that had been around 15-17lpa, and the average package is 4-5lpa. About 20-30% of the batch gets placed during placement interviews while many try to pursue other opportunities or off-campus venues.

ANDC= The most average old school type campus life

as the everyone know for computer science b tech is the best course but there is to much rush for b tech and i dont want to waste my college life or campus life on engenerring degree which dont give me placements thats why i choose for bsc hons cs in du to enjoy the campus life. if you study well in this course it will definately help vo in job interview making your resume good and skills better. the teaching method should be more practical than doing on notebooks or oraly. the datesheet and timings of exams are preety good and the difficulty of exam are moderate the ones who prepares will definately score good marks and can maintain better cgpa.

Good for science courses but infrastructure and surrounding area is not good

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are average. There is a placement cell in our college that is mostly run by students only. Average placement package is 3 to 4 LPA. Companies like Wipro, TCS that visits our college for placements. 5 and 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements. 60 to 100 students per year get placements.

Placement Experience:

One can easily view the placement statistics of our college on their website. The placement cell of the college manages the placement process. On first glance, it appears impressive. But most of the placements are in similar fields of commerce like consulting or finance, followed by Arts and Science courses getting the least amount of placements. I personally have no faith in my course getting me any placement. So I'm preparing for government exams anyways.

I applied to GGSIP University and filled the entrance exam CUET. One can get admission in Delhi University by giving the CUET exam. After giving cuet, we have to apply on the CSAS portal that is of Delhi University. It then conducts various rounds of admission process and students are allotted colleges according to their preference sheets and marks scored in CUET exam. In IP University I got rank 382(out of 15000) for BBA where I was given admission according to my preference, in VIPS college. Though I kept Delhi University as my first choice. And since BMS is a professional course I decided to take up this college, SRCASW( NIRF ranking 32) Also I wanted to stay in Delhi so didn't sign up for colleges in other states. The best college for BMS is considered to be Shaheed Sukhdev college of business students. It has a very high cut off and thus remains a Dream for many students. It also offers a course BBA(FIA) that is also provided by SRCASW. But since it's a women's college, it's not available to everyone....Read More
