Remarks

I qualified for JEE in 2020, I got civil engineering at NIT Srinagar based on my rank, I got no such reservation benefits since I belong to the general category. NIT Srinagar is a developing college and will emerge to a much extent in the coming years.

Course Curriculum Overview

I had an interest in the field of civil engineering. There is no shortage of faculty members in the college. Exams are tough and perfectly check the preparation of students. Faculty members are undoubtedly highly qualified.

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 46000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are provided by the internship coordinator of that particular branch. I have got the internship opportunity at IIT Madras by the recommendation of a faculty. Internships opportunity is dependent on the student.

Placement Experience

After the 6th-semester students are eligible for campus placements. CS, IT and ECE branches have the highest packages. Their highest packages are up to 30 LPA. Civil engineering has decent placements. But the chemical and metallurgical departments have low placements so they are not worthy to be studied here.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees required for a student to study in NIT depend on the annual income range of his family. There are 3 income slabs of<1,1-5 and>5 lacs. Fees are to be paid accordingly. I belong to the second income slab of the above and received scholarships.

Campus Life

There are a lot of clubs for sports, coding, and literature. A lot of festivals are celebrated in the college. The campus is very beautiful, probably the second most beautiful campus in INDIA. The library is well equipped with books but the size of the library is not so big.

Hostel Facilities

Rooms are decent and a single room is occupied by at least 4 students depending on the size of the room. Mess is up to the mark and the quality of the meal is nice. There is no such problems student face in meal issues. Mess is also very spacious and can occupy the students.

Hostel Fee: INR 16000 per year

NIT Sringar is beautiful!!

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Placement Experience:

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

Placement Experience:

There are in campus placements in our university. Students become eligible for the same from 7th semester. Companies like IBM, AMAZON, WIPRO, INFOSYS, DELOITTE, CGEGG, HONDA, NTPC, ACCENTURE are the top recruiters. The highest package was of 36.5 LPA and the average is 11.5LPA in the year 2023. The placement rate was of 108.38%.

Placement Experience:

Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs. Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements. From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students. Highest package 40 LPA and median package 10 LPA.

Nit Srinagar the heaven

Admission:

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

I got this college on the basis of councellign held after jee main result before this i got Natinal institue of technology Megalya i left that beacuse of non permanent hostel facility and bad reviews from the seniors and the distance from mine hoemtown sikar(Rajasthan) even many good engineerig colleges was there in mine list but because of mine less marks in jee main and advance i am unable to get them (example : nit silchar, nit Wrangle, nit Trichy etc) but over all mine college was good according to Enviroment conditions and other parameters and the admission process was very smooth just you have to verify your documents ....Read More

As we all know that the B.Tech course is of four years and divided into eight semesters. It is offereed across 8 different specialisations including /cse, /ee, ECE, MEC, META, CIVIL, IT /cHE . The course admission is done on the basis of candidate's performance in JEE Main followed by JOSSA counselling/CSAB counselling. The allotment is donw on the basis of merit score in Je/e Main. The Eligibility Criteria is that the candiddate must qualify JEE Main and score above 75% marks in 12th. A score of 96 - 97 p;ercentile is enough for an OB/C or General student and 93% -90 perccentile for SC / ST students.
