Remarks

I got admitted in this college through the WBJEE(West Bengal Joint entrance examination). I did not get any type of reservation as I am not from West Bengal. Though being a OBC candidate, I was considered as a general candidate during the admission process in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose my course Information Technology as I am very much fond of computers and their applications. And I wanted to make my career in the IT sector. There are about 60 students in each department. Some faculty members are very qualified and have vast knowledge in their respective fields, but some faculty members lack experience and knowledge.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 64200 per year

Placement Experience

Talking about the placements in this college, generally from the 7th semester onwards placements start taking place here. Companies like TCS do visit here for on-campus placement. Not all students get placed here, so the percentage of placement is disappointing. But, most CS and IT students get placed here.

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is an autonomous engineering college, its fee structure is very less as compared with other engineering colleges in west Bengal. The fee for each semester is 32,100. I did not get any type of scholarship from the west Bengal government. Student can apply on NSP.

Campus Life

Life is super amazing at this college. Different fests are being organized at this institute. Those fests can be conducted during any month in a year. In the library, there are a lot of books available, mostly related to the branch.

Should I Choose IEM.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).
