Remarks
BE or BTech is the Eligible courses. The entrance Exam is GATE, need to qualify for the Exam, the average cut-off marks is nearly 30 for the OBC category and 36 for the Open Category, and for other reserved categories cuts of marks are nearly 22. GATE application fees are 1000 for the OBC category, This application date starts in the month of August/September and the tentative date of the exam is the 2nd week of February for the online mode of Exam.
Course Curriculum Overview
In the MTech course, most of the Technical concepts are in the syllabus. Regular lectures were conducted on the daily basis. Faculty are available any time online mode (call/ Email), different facilities for the teaching and Practical sessions. Most of the faculty are Ph.D. holders and some of MTech Post Graduation. Semister-wise patterns and after 2 months Mid Sem Exams conducted and 4 months End Semester Exam. In the exam all questions are reframed by the faculty, if you are good at concepts then passing is very easy and score good marks
Internships Opportunities
Faculty encourages internships, they try to get internships for all students, and at the research, department internships are provided for the students with stipend. the stipend varies with the work and postings, nearly 10k.
Placement Experience
From the 3rd semester, you are eligible for campus placement but the condition is no live backlogs. Goldman Sachs, SAP Labs, Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan, Microsoft, and BNY Mellon are some companies that visit VJTI. 70% of the students were placed in these companies. The maximum package is 43L by Microsoft, and the average package is 9L. My plan is to get placed in one of these companies with a good package.
Fees and Financial Aid
For the first year fees are 85k and for the second year are 65k. An installment in the fee structure is available. No hostel is available for MTech Students. Other hostels cost around 70k for 1 year. If you qualify for the Entrance Exam i.e. GATE then a monthly stipend is given to you around 12k. Most of the campus placements are for IT industries. very less placements for other branches.
Campus Life
Pratibimb is the annual national-level cultural festival, Held in the month of December. 1 lack books are available in the library, separate sitting arrangement in a big hall for study. An online library is also available. Classrooms have a good sitting arrangement with AC and projector facilities. 2 playgrounds are available for cricket, football, volleyball, and a tennis court. gymkhana group organizes a sports day at the end of academics. ENTHUSIASM is a sports group run by students.
