Remarks
I got admission through GUJCET. state entrance exam. For different courses, different ranks and cutoffs are present. I got good marks which directly provide me admission to chemical engineering at PDEU. For the State entrance exam: 60% (probably) seat is present. For jee exam: 30% (probably) seat is present. And there are some seats reserved for NRI students and management quota. You have to look again and again on the PDEU website. To know to admission date and other stuff. Or apply through the Gujarat government Admission window through ACPC.
Course Curriculum Overview
The engineering course is for 8 semesters. Chemical engineering courses are mainly divided into 6 semesters. Mainly first 2 semester is for basic engineering course. In that, all students learned every branch course. From the 3rd semester, core subjects will come into the picture. Mainly the 3rd semester starts with basic chemical engineering core courses such as process calculation, mechanical unit operation, and thermodynamics with some elective courses. Afterward, in the remaining 5 semesters, the main chemical core subjects come. You do not feel worried about the subject because all the faculty take that course in a very smooth way. All the faculty is from IIT and they did the Ph.D.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are quite good and various good companies are given by institutions. Students can opt for internships provided by the college itself or can opt by themselves too. After an internship one has to present what are the things he learned from the internship and how is he gonna apply them in the real world.
Placement Experience
There are many companies that come for on-campus hiring. On Core and non-core companies are coming. You can opt for any company based on your choice and but there are certain guidelines that are listed by PDEU that you have to follow.
Fees and Financial Aid
Year by year fees will increase based on structure. For the 2019 batch. The tuition fee is 2,34,000 and other facilities expenditure is around 15000. Scholarship: In the first year, you get a scholarship based on your jee performance and on state board performance. The top 300 students from the state get a full 100% scholarship. Students who scored 80 percentile on the state board, got scholarships in of amount 50000 from the Gujarat government. After 1st year the students who come in the top 7 on the University exam, get a scholarship for half the fees.
Campus Life
Campus Life is like other foreign universities have. As campus, itself consists of many clubs. Which include fest clubs, tech clubs, and other many clubs. PDEU itself has flare, tesseract like a giant event. PETROCUP is also there.
