Remarks

BITS stands 1 st in the rankings of best private college in India. Once we enter into bits, the student will not only grow academically but also socially.

Entrance Preview

entrance examination IS BITSAT, the score I got is 304, out of 450. I opted BITS HYDERABAD because it is high in standards compared to other engineering colleges in state level

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It is an ongoing process aimed at understanding and improving student learning. It involves making the college expectations explicit and public; setting appropriate and high standards for learning quality; systematically gathering, analyzing, and interpreting evidence to determine how well performance matches those expectations and standards; and using the resulting information to document, explain, and improve performance.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, it does. It provides 2 internships in the span of entire 4 years. one at the end of the second year and one more in 4th year. the first internship after the second year doesn't have any stipend, but the 4th year internship will have a stipend and its amount is decided by the company we are working in.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement and job opportunity are always good in BITS. more than 90 percent of people get placed every year. College is having good pitching team and logistics team who call the companies and take care of them with the utmost respect. all the teams mostly consist of students itself.

College Events

5

In one complete year (2 semesters) there are 3 fests (college festivals), one is technical fest second one is cultural fest and the third one is sports fest. In each fest, college invites another college country wide and conduct competitions. there is a home atmosphere in college during those fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

one thing we should keep in mind is BITS is a private university. So the fees structures will be somewhat high compared to government colleges and other engineering colleges. But they won't be much high which we cannot afford. We can see there are many middle-class people are graduating every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

there are 2 types of scholarships, one is merit scholarship and other is merit cum need scholarship. the former is completely based on the student's performance in academics, but the later is dependent on parents income along with students performance. There is a bank associated with the college which provides education loans to students.

Campus Life

5

The campus life is awesome. It's like a second to all the students. gender ratio will also be nearly equal to 1 even though the admission is based on students performance in the entrance exam. there is a lot of scope for extracurricular activitties where each activity is provided a facility in the college. there are excellent labs. There are clubs and associations for sports and competitions like robotics and debates where interested students can join and improve their skills.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel and mess food facilities are good in BITS. Each person we get a single room (individual rooms). no room sharing. All the hostel fees are included in the fees at the time of admission itself. The college will admit students based on the availability of rooms to each person only. no need to search for other PG o rentals.

Alumni/Alumna

BITS is connected with strong alumni network. In fact, there is a special day for BITSIANS called BITSIANS DAY where all the bitsians(people of BITS are called as bitsians) working at one association or studying will gather and give support to each other. In fact, the college provides wide scope for the alumni contact for information in the field they are pursuing for future generations.

Exam Structure

In college every semester lasts for 5 months, In that span there are 3 exams, Test1, Test2, comprehensive. the lab exams are subject specific. if the subject is having lab along with it in course structure then definitely it will have mid sem and end sem exams may be practicals or written exams.

Admission

First BITS will release a notification for its entrance examination every year around February and march.we can get all the information and notifications in bitsadmission.com. So we need to apply for the application and wait for the hall ticket and write the exam. After the exam is over we will get a link to the same website as mentioned above, there we need to enter all our details including name, hall ticket number, and all. As the examination is online all our marks will be already stored in the server. once we fill the details they will display our score and ask us to opt our preferences in branches in engineering.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty in BITS study the knowledge base of teaching and learning. They accept all who enter the classroom door and help them to go forward. They need a college education. They plan for instructional management. For most of us, it was a true passion for the subject, a desire to learn all about it, and a further desire to then share that knowledge. They keep the passion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
