Remarks

This a very good college in term of courses, facilities as well as the fees, but you have to work hard to get in here.

Entrance Preview

I've given West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination and get enough rank to get admission in this college in Electrical Engineering Department. Being a Government Institute I've to pay very a nominal fees and access a lot of facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview

In our college, we have four departments namely Textile Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering. Only Textile Technology department has B. Tech as well as M. Tech whereas other departments only has B Tech degree.

Internships Opportunities

There are many IT as well as Textile companies which provide internship programmes for our students. But in case of ME or EE students, there are no internship are available from companies, they are sent to different IIT's for this purpose.

Placement Experience

TT has a mind-blowing record of almost 100% campusing each year. CSE is not far behind, they gave 60-80% students placed. But due to being a newly introduced departments EE and ME does not do well in the area of campusing. Most of the placements of EE and ME are done in IT sector.

College Events

Almost all the important festival and cultural events of Indian origin are celebrated in our college premises. Apart from that we also celebrate Freshers' Party (named INIZIO), College Fest Freshers' (named ALFRESCO), Farewell Party. But the most important and heritage cultural event in our college is Swaraswati Puja.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For EE, ME, TT the tuition fees are ₹500 per month and exam fees are ₹1000, which makes total semester fees for these departments are ₹4000. Whereas for CSE the tuition fees are ₹1000 per month and exam fees are ₹1000, which makes total semester fees for these hard are ₹7000.

Fees and Financial Aid

Due to directly monitored by Government of west bengal, many of the students of our college are very much eligible to get Government Scholarship although the fees are very less for each of our courses.

Campus Life

Our campus is equipped with high speed internet facility. The gender ratio is almost 15:1 due to being a technical college. In our college, we have a TECH CLUB, which organises a technical competition in our college including quiz, robotics, coding, debates etc.

Hostel Facilities

Although I did not live in our college hostel still I recommend it to all my juniors. Our college offers hostel facilities including food and lodging for the boys only. The capacity of a four-stored hostel is 114.The hostel is having an adjacent playground, gymnasium, library and indoor games facilities.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

In our college, we have a very good alumni network. Who help us in any situation. As most of our alumni are belonged from TT department and working in Textile Industries, TT department is very much supported by our alumni network.

Exam Structure

In our college we have eight semester, four year B.Tech cource. Each semester takes six months after which we have to gave an exam to get promoted in next semester. The entire exam procedure is controlled by the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Univercity of Technology (formly WBUT).

Admission

After my board exams (WBCHSE) I prepared for West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination and get a rank of 4040 then I followed the centralised counselling procedure and selected for our college. The counselling procedure is organised by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Board.

In our college faculty members are very much friendly with students and help them in their studies. In each department, we have 10-15 teachers in average. All our faculty members are post-graduated or Ph.D. degree holders from different reputed institutes of our country.

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

The everyday journey

Likes

I liked the campus . Their people and faculties are too great , they are also helpfull
The other thing i liked here is the play ground where students play with full of their energy and many game events are organised ocationally
The other thing i liked is the library where everyone use to study silently with poking others

Dislikes

Bad benches , like benches are too small to be fitted in our class I
In our department ac doesn’t work properly

The faculty are well taught and the campus is very beautiful . The buildings are like newly bulid . and the campus is very clean.
In our branch the boys and girls ratio is almost 16:11.
The senior behave like a friend and they help us a lot and they also very supportive.

Dislikes

The college campus is too small compare to other colleges.
The college classes are not regularly held and the attendance system is not very good.
The classes are very boing and sometime it feels like aa school and the labs are not held timely.

Placement Experience:

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

My experience about techno

Likes

Ragging free campus. Strict action are taken against those who found guilty.
Classrooms are well equipped and are spacious.
There are many fun events that happen in the college

Dislikes

The campus area is too small. The library is not good
The societies are fully controlled by students so huge partiality goes on.
Some of the teachers are mean and are not good.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

Likes

The campus is big and full of greenery with the vibrant feel of nature.
The students of the same batch are friendly and helpful.
The teacher's are friendly and helpful. They do provide helpful recommendations for the betterment of your future.

Dislikes

The seniors are overly harsh when it comes to 1st year.
The infrastructure could be worked on. The college lacks renovation.
The hostel does require everyday cleaning and renovation as well as the campus.

Placement Experience:

I don't know much about this but I guess from the sixth semester the students are eligible for campus placements. This year a student from AEIE got a package of 11.2 lacs per annum and the average is around 4 lacs per annum.

Experienced Faculty-students often appreciate a good blend of practical and theoretical knowledge.Faculty members in some department are often known for thier excelence knowledge and experience
Excelent Campus-techno india university has a large campus with excelent facilities such as libraries,labs,seminar halls etc. Some students finds this facilitries useful
Funs and Events-techno india university provides a vibrant campus life with events that span a wide range of interests

Dislikes

Time Management-the one thing that I disliked was their time management.They dont provide a proper shedule for exams,routines etc
Teaching Methods-some students feels that cirtain teaching methods(like a focus on lecture without without interactive learning or industry exposure) must be improved
Placement-techno india university does prepares thier students for placement they only give them the opportunity

Elegibility for placement-Generally students become elligible for campus placement in their 7th semester or 8th semester and there might be some prerequisties such as minimum CGPA must be 6-7 with no bachlogs Internship and pre-placement offers-many companies offer internships during the 6th semester or 7th semester and successful interns may receive pre-placement offers if their performance is good. Companies that visits campus: TCS Accenture Cognizent Infosys Wipro Capgemini Deloite Byjus Tech Mahindra Placement Percentage-On average 80%-90% of students may secure jobs through campus placements.However this numbers could vary across different departments and specialization Highest and average package-The highest salary offered at Techno India University was 24 LPA and the average salary was 4-5 LPA. Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

The faculties are very good and very active. They are always ready to help
Campus is very beautiful and nice. Campus may be a little bit smaller but it is beautiful.

Location is a thing which may difficult to find out.
Number of faculties are small quantity due to the college is newly established
Because of the college is new so therefore not huge like any NIT or IIT

After 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There many service based companies visited like TCS ,Cognizant, wipro, Infosys. Almost 60-70% student placed in on campus. Highest package offered by TCS 9-10lpa and Cognizant 6-7lpa wipro 6-7lpa infosys 10lpa etc. 60-70% student getting placement I will go for placement
