Remarks

I wrote keam(Kerala engineering and medical) to enter into the government engineering colleges in Kerala. Admission processes in keam are very lengthy and confusing. The cut-off for mechanical engineering in rit is around 15000.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is moderate. The faculties are very helpful and committed. I choose mechanical engineering because I like to learn about machines and flight mechanics. The end semester exams are moderate and there is 2 internal exams every semester.

Placement Experience

The placements in Rit are very good. A lot of companies come to hire students. Most of the companies are from the IT sector. Placements from core companies are rare. Students in the final year are eligible for campus placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual tution fees is around 9000rs. Scholarships such as egrantz, mcm, central sector and various other scholarships are available.The campus placements in Rit for mechanical engineers is moderate.

Campus Life

College life is amazing with all the greenery and the infrastructure of the college is top-notch. Ritu is a techno-cultural fest organized by the college which is fomous all over kerala.There are various clubs in Rit like literary club,nature club,film club etc.

Hostel Facilities

There are many hostels near rit.Mens hostel does not have enough accomodation facilities for all the boys.The food in the hostels are ok but not so great.Registration process are based on the distance from college and house.

Hostel Fee: INR 72000 per year

For entry level rolls the starting salary maybe around 4 to 5 lakhs per annum however with more experience and skills salary grows.

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull
