Eligibility for B.Com(H) is 70? and B.Com(G) is 60? in the 12th board exam. Total Application process online. The application forms are available on the college site. Admission Fees-2400.Time of application process, Date- 15th July-15th August.

I am a commerce student. City College is one of the best oldest colleges in our state. This college is under the university of Calcutta which is also a well-known university. this college is quite famous for its business department. The faculty of this college is good. The corporate with students. Their teaching method is also good. They help students with their studies. You have to do a proper study to pass the exams.

Class Size: 250Course Fees: INR 2300 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of studying at this college is very affordable. Total three years course fees in this college are 7000, which is again a very affordable price compared to other colleges under the University of Calcutta. They don't provide any campus jobs. They also don't provide any scholarships because of this cheap fee structure.

Campus Life

The name of the annual fest of this college is sangria, which is conducted by the student Union of this college in October mostly. This fest is conducted for 4 days. They bring celebrities for this fest. The student union conducts freshers parties also. The library atmosphere is good. Most of the books are available in the library. There is also an annual sports competition. You can compete if you want.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum taught here is outdated and is not the present industry knowledge which is a bad thing. Teachers also teach in the outdated method and in bookish manner and focus on just passing. Exams are held here after every 6 months on semester wise.

Quite an Average Government College which lacks in infrastructure, faculty, and placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I mentioned, the course curriculum is outdated and no new industry knowledge is being taught. Projects and assignments are also bookish and are just for sake. Teaching methods by teachers are also bookish and backward. The frequency of exams are after every 6 months and are pretty manageable and easy.

City College of Commerce and Business Administration: A Heritage Institution with room for growth in placements

Placement Experience:

By the end of 6th semester students are placed in some of the companies which visits the campus Companies like ICICI bank , axis bank does placement in the college. Average package is around 250000 per anum and highest is around 1200000 per anum. 70-75 % students get placed every year roughly. I will be a marketing manager after completing my degree.

A college with all the facilities.

I applied in 5 colleges;Seth Anandram Jaipuriya, Goenka, Surendranath, Lalbaba and City college in which I am currently studying. I got confirmation from lalbaba and City college. Those nice college days

I had applied in many colleges and also got selected there but I chose city college for it's friendly atmosphere and supportive seniors. In order to eligible for pass course you need minimum 60percent for not put yourself in waiting list. If you score below this then there are chances that your name will be not in the first list. There are 2 or sometimes 3 lists are out for admission list. If you want to go with honours then you need 85 to 90 percent because seats are very limited...Read More
