The application fees ranges between 250-350Rs. I didn't got any reservation benefits but there are reservation in seats for SC,ST,OBC and EWS students. There is no reservation for general students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choosed this course because of my interest in Maths Subject. I also tried for engeeniering entrance but I didn't got any goverment college but in the counselling of DU I got JDMC that's why I selected it. All the faculties in our college are very encouraging and very supportive. Most of them have completed their Masters degree and some of them also have PhD degree. The student faculty ratio is like 1:1 All the students get equal attention from the teachers. The teaching method of our teachers is very good they also use smart boards to explain the students. They also give us study materials which are very helpful for us. There are 2 semesters in each year and the semester exams occurs at the interval of every 6months. And there are 2 internal exams also to check the progress of students. If you are an average student and you study very attentively in the class then you can easily pass the exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

Cost to study is not so much. It is affordable for a middle class family. The fees is 14-15K/annum and there is examination fees also every semester which ranges from 1K-1.5K. There are some scholarships for minority students to provide them some financial assistance, And there is also some scholarships for EWS students. There are no cmpus placements or job opportunities provided by college for Maths(Hons.) students. You have to find the jobs by yourself.

Campus Life

4

There is only one annual fest in our college which occurs in the month of march every year. There are some tech fest also in our college which occurs in the month of February or April. Our Library has two floors and both the floors are fully air conditioned. You can do self study also on the ground floor of library. There are books of different subjects and very well knowned authors available in our library. You can issue any books for one weak free of cost. Our classrooms are not so good because there are only fans in our classrooms. In summer seasons students face many problems because of summer heat. There are different types of sports like football, basketball and hockey in our college. There is NCC also in our college. There are different dance, drama and singing societies in our college like-Nritya,Khoj,Sarang,Nupur,Enactus and Abhivyakti. There is an official website of our college jdmc.du.ac.in which is run by college itself.

Placement Experience:

Gargi, like most other delhi colleges, has a standard placement cell. Students become eligible for placements from the 5th semester onwards, but most requirements happen during the final year. The companies that visit are primarily ed tech based ventures or marketing, HR firms and sales firms. A few that have collaborated over the year has been EY, Decathlon, Urban Company, Deloitte and so on. in terms of packages, the highest that had been around 15-17lpa, and the average package is 4-5lpa. About 20-30% of the batch gets placed during placement interviews while many try to pursue other opportunities or off-campus venues.

as the everyone know for computer science b tech is the best course but there is to much rush for b tech and i dont want to waste my college life or campus life on engenerring degree which dont give me placements thats why i choose for bsc hons cs in du to enjoy the campus life. if you study well in this course it will definately help vo in job interview making your resume good and skills better. the teaching method should be more practical than doing on notebooks or oraly. the datesheet and timings of exams are preety good and the difficulty of exam are moderate the ones who prepares will definately score good marks and can maintain better cgpa.

Placement Experience:

One can easily view the placement statistics of our college on their website. The placement cell of the college manages the placement process. On first glance, it appears impressive. But most of the placements are in similar fields of commerce like consulting or finance, followed by Arts and Science courses getting the least amount of placements. I personally have no faith in my course getting me any placement. So I'm preparing for government exams anyways.
