Remarks

The admission process was online entirely, due to covid and we just had to submit various documents, proof of identity, mark sheets and certificates etc. The admission was cutoff based and we had to wait for the application to be verified by the admin to know whether we had been accepted or not. I was fortunate enough to make it in through the first cut off based on my best of four per cent.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum and faculty for my course are excellent. It is one of the key reasons why I did not opt-out of Hansraj even when I got into other colleges during consequent cutoffs. They are highly patient and qualified and getting to explore literature with them is a pleasure. Most of our exams were OBE or assignment based so it was not that difficult to pass, so far has given a few offline exams, it is not difficult to pass either if one has good comprehension and a passion for literary readings.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 19000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for a year are between 17 to 19 thousand. Scholarship or financial notifications are regularly circulated at the beginning of each term for those who choose to avail themselves. The college also has a placement cell that enables opportunities and exposure for students looking to expand their careers, the placement cell is also operated by students making it approachable. I am, however, personally unaware of the extent to which they provide assistance in seeking employment.

Campus Life

The campus life is pretty laid back and there are ample opportunities to participate in societies, and engage in events and student unions as well. It is ideal to find out who you are and express yourself politically, artistically and socially.

Worst decision ever

Placement Experience:

Personally, i have good amount of experience in the industry so i might just not need vollege placements. But fir the senior batch i think only a fee got placed but rest of the students are doing things personally.

The ba programe here is little different from other colleges accross the country. The curriculum is quite diversified. If you are intrested in arts , there is lot to learn. If one want to become writter or any thing related to literature , or want to become historian , geo-politics expert,etc. The course is quite good. The exams held every four and a half or five months and the difficulty level is moderate.

Like this course is about rights and authorities which is very important for everyone nowadays and specially when you are a girl so that nobody couldn't dominate you. We read about what were the past sceniors towards the lower castes or women which is also happens in most of the states and cities but this curriculum taught us whats the reality of the world and how to be independent and how to protest for our rights . Even we can more learn about this if the faculity organises those things via presentation or streamings with some videos so it will be more helpful in our exams too!!

Maitreyi College is Underrated, A VERY NICE EXPERIENCE

Course Curriculum Overview:

Coming to english hons I had a little different expectations and this turned out to be a little different, This course is too much till where I have studied is inclined towards literature which sometimes students do not like. There are many subjects inside the core, but subjects like literary studies caught lot of attention due to it's attractiveness and different perspectives. Sometimes things go a lot off syllabus which disrupts mindful learning but thankgod it's just 30-40% of it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is basically design to study economics in a depth so that the understanding of student related to world economic, how economics work , how it affect an individual etc increase and he can work more efficiently to give theories and work in the companies related to economics. The curriculum includes value added course and skill enhanced courses that help us to learn different types of skills that are required in the real world applications. Improvement in these can be done by asking the student to apply all these into real life and connect students with the real life approaches related to the course. For core subjects the timing of paper is 3 hours and for sec and vac courses the timing of paper is 1 hour.

I applied to top colleges of DU only. I was clear from the start that I'll only take admission if I get any of the top colleges in Delhi University. My cuet score wasn't great so I didn't get into SRCC. If you want to get into Hansraj do prepare from the start tho cuet isn't tough.
