Hansraj - College with great crowd.

It's all positive. I was not that sure while joining Hansraj but now I feel that I made the right decision. The tag of Hansraj will always help you in your future and people will have a positive perspective when they come to know that you are alumni of Hansraj.

Merit List

My course involves Physics, Mathematics and Computer science as core subjects. It's not an honors course. But the benefit of this course is that you could pursue your masters in any of the above mentioned subjects, unlike honors courses where it should be the same. The exam structure is the same all over DU. There are a total of six semester exams in the graduation period. 3 of them take place in the month of December and rest 3 in the month of May.

Hansraj is quite famous for placements and internships. They are separate portals for both of them from where students can apply for the same. Even I got an internship provided by my college in the company 'Slicepay'

There are always events happening in our college. This goes on for the entire year. There are many societies in our college and each of them has their own star events which attract students from all over the Delhi NCR region. Apart from these, there is our annual fest, named Confluence which happens in the month of March bringing stars like Shahrukh Khan, Diljit Dosanjh, Honey Singh and many more.

Since it is a government college, therefore the fee is extremely feasible. It's around 30,000 for the entire year including everything. When compared to private universities, it's way less than them.

There are certain scholarships available in our college for the students who cannot afford to pay the fees. I haven't availed any of them because there are certain annual income criteria under which one could avail it and I am applying for the same.

Hansraj has many ECA societies including Dramatics Society, Dance society, Music society, etc. So there are enough opportunities for the interested students to be a part of the team and enhance their skills. Apart from ECA, Hansraj is also famous for its sports societies, including badminton, football, and basketball.

Hansraj is very famous for its alumni network. It attracts a lot of students to be a part of Hansraj. 'The Wall' as they say includes stars like Shahrukh Khan, Anurag Kashyap, Ranvijay Singh and many more. Senior students are also very helpful and there is no scene of ragging and all in the college. One could easily connect to the seniors doesn't matter in which year the are.

I git admission to this college on the basis of my 12th marks. Hansraj is one of the best colleges in Delhi University. The cut off here is quite high and keeps on increasing every year. I was lucky enough to get admitted here. After the board results, the cut off lists are out of all the colleges of DU together. And specific dates are given for each cut off to go and get yourself admitted in your desired college.

The faculty here is good but not the best. They will teach you enough to get a good GPA but you cannot depend on them to gain extra knowledge required for competitive exams. But not to worry, the crowd which one gets in the college balances it as you get to interact with one of the best minds in the country.
