Remarks

Infrastructure is very good in this college and good placement for students is provided. This is a very good engineering college in the malout region. Classrooms are well equipped.

Course Curriculum Overview

Btech in CSE is a very good course for students and they help in placement for students there. Is very good teaching experts and they all are highly qualified and have good knowledge there is a semester exam every 6 month

There is many more internships for students in many more companies IBM and other etc and there are many more projects and tasks for students on the basis of their knowledge and there provide very good internship for students who intern in the 2nd year.

There is very good placement in college and every year many of the students our place and many more companies visit every year like TCS Wipro nagaro IBM etc tech Mahindra and many more mnc and average package of 500000 and Max package is 1800000

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure for BTech cse is 90000 for the first year and for second-year fees is decreased 82000 per year and there are many more scholarship like cm drcc and other activities there is so good campus for students

Campus Life

There is one central Library for students with many more books there are many more sports and extracurricular activities for students like football basketball chess cricket and badminton etc and activities like hackathon prayog

Hostel Facilities

There are 2 hostels one boy and one girl hostels there is four-seater and two-seater room for students at very less charge 6300 per year no any college like this and hostels there is a good meal and the quality of food is so good

Life at CGC Landran

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak.That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
