Likes

The relationship between teacher and students are very friendly they treat us like a school child and behave like a good person.
Teachers teach in a very good way.If You are not understanding anything they teach you untill you understand.
In my genuine opinion the faculty members are also very copretive and supportive than other any colleges.

Dislikes

The infrastructure of college is ok ok not so good .
If anybody want a college where fest and annual programs happens then this college is not for you because here never a fest or annual function happens.
The classes are also not so good .Computers are old and some of them are not even opens .There is not even a single canteen or shop for snacks.

Course Curriculum Overview

Yeah,MIMIT should consider expanding its Btech offerings.Adding branches like BioTechnology , Civil would attract more students with diverts intrests. For CSE , Introducing specilization like: •AI •Cybersecurity •Data Science

Placement Experience

MIMIT is a government affiliated college under PTU, but its placement is not strong as the top tier colleges.Average Package from this college is 3-4lakh for cse and the other branches struggles in getting job.

Fees and Financial Aid

Per Semester fee is 46000 to 48000 on the basis of even or odd sem. In this college you are enable to get scholarship by the punjab government.Like see my fees in 2nd sem is 28500 but the actual fees of this course in my college is 47500,the reason my fees is reduced because I'm able to take that scholarship.

Campus Life

MIMIT has small but close-knit students community.since its a government affiliated college so students come from different backgrounds,creating a diverse atmosphere.MIMIT has some student clubs,but they are not very active.

Faculty

There are more than 100 faculty members and all are very supportive and well behaved. Like Sunil chabra is a Faculty member he is a outstanding person he always take care of student .He gives us all the information and force to take participate in function that also helps us in connecting more students.

Interview Experience

No,I didn't go through any admission process myself. But for btech admission at MIMIT college, you likely got in based on 12th boards mark or jee mains score.(depending on admission criteria at that time)

Night Life

Since Mimit is in malout ,a small town in punjab ,the night life is quite limited compered to big cities luke delhi ,Chandigarh, etc. Students mostly hangout in hostels,watching movies playing games or study ingredients in night.

LPU Jalandhar is a nest!

Placement Experience:

Over a crore package too have been inked form LPU, CSE and that itself is more than enough to justify my call to Study here. Highest package was of 1.03 crores and average still stands at 8 lakhs around. The big thing is nearly 2500 students in CSE and still all are finding a shot to try for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I went for CSe bcz it has best career scope. The curriculum is comprehensive but a bit heavy. It touches almost all topics but didn't go deep into latest tech like AI or Cloud computing, which was a drawback. Improvements? Definitely the teaching style. Some profs are good but many rush through the syllabus to finish it. They should include more project based learning instead of just theory exams. Exams are manageable. We have typical sem system. Timing is predictable but sometimes the schedule is very tight with no gaps between papers. Difficulty wise its okay, most students study a week before exams and manage to clear them.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate and usually starts from the 7th Semester . A few Service based Companies visit with average packages of 3-4 Lpa . Around 40 - 50 % students get placed. I plan to upskill and pursue higher studies or better job opportunities

LPU is indeed a professional university!

Placement Experience:

Around 600 recruiters so far has hired students from LPU. Not just domestic but even international names have hired students from LPU. So, I don't think one even has to look beyond LPU for that matter. My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.
