I always want to study in malout institute of management and information technology, that's way I pursue BCA at mimit . Teacher guide me for my decision. Over all course is first class but I think they only need to update there PC in labs .

Class Size: 5000Course Fees: INR 25000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement are average in the college.from fifth semester students can eligible for campus placement. Companies like HDFC Bank ,Bank of Baroda,ICICI Bank and some tech companies . Off campus you can try where you want. Average package is 6-7 lakhs . 30 to 50 persent students getting placement every year. My plan after bca is to complete my masters

Fees and Financial Aid

As the college is powered by the government of Punjab the fee is competitively less than from the other institutes because of different scholarship like cm scholarship . the over all fee after applying the scholarship is approx 27000 per year for bca . If you apply for feevehiour seat you fees will be 6000/-.

Campus Life

College conduct alot of technical fests . Campus library is very big and alot of books in the library. Classes are very big and project are fitted in every class room for better study. College also focus on sports activities like games.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel are good. There are two types of rooms in hostel one is double sharing (for two students)and the second is four sharing (for 4 students) .you get own bed ,one study table,one storege space I will rate Meal quality of hostel mess 8 out 10. If you want an room you have to fill a form in warden office and you will get a room . If want an pc out side there is alot of pg available in locality.

Hostel Fee: INR 6500 per year

Admission

There is no entrance test to join the college. But you will sort out from your 12th class marks merits . Your eligibility is to pass out 12th . Application form , application fee ,and application date is available on the MIMIT'S official website www.mimitmalout.com Exam are little bit difficult.

Faculty

The faculty is very cooperative and have great knowledge of teaching. But the mostly teacher are just MCA qualified. There behaviour very well for every one , listen every student's problem very politely and provide an friendly environment to everyone.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information rather than the information itself. I wouldn’t eliminate content, without background we cannot form good, rational, and educated conclusions. We are still giving timed tests in math facts! I know that’s traditional, but it just isn’t as important. My era had no calculators and we needed to be proficient at paper and pencil solutions, but now, perfect calculations are available to everyone. We should focus on what kinds of problems can be solved with mathematics. Spelling is equally less important. Vocabulary should be stressed. My sister years ago was taking a test for a personal assistant position where she was asked to type a large number of words per minute error free. She was laughing at such a test. She said no one does that anymore, they just type then run spell check. Technology is changing our NEEDS opinion is that curriculum should reflect our reality. No one gets paid to solve problems that have already been solved. Students should be exposed to solving problems they have not seen before but that can be solve with the content they have learned in class. This will help them develop problem solving strategies they will be able to use the rest of their lives

Placement Experience:

i can talk about college placement till now in my college, as far as i have seen, placement start after the 2nd year of BCA and 3rd year of B.tech, but first there is atest and interview. if the one who gets good marks in the paper will be selected for the next interview, otherwise he will not be selected. in my college, B.tech students get more placement because the get intership in ther last semester, though which they get placements too. till now, B.tech students have been able to placement and otherwise Bca students have did not place by college placement you will own search by non-campus placement

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had a lot of interest in programming languages and in computer and how computer works. In future ,technology and application will be widely used . This course is appropriate for choosing according to my interest. This curriculum prepares me alot for this real world applications because future generation is totally dependent on AI tools or technology . I suggest in improvement of modernising technology, you have to focus on practicals for this curriculum. The exams are correct like starting at 9 :30 and ends at 12 :30 . Each student have different timing for their exams according to their course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

BCA is not relevant anymore. BCA is like new BA, but a sophisticated one. Everybody's doing BCA nowadays. I can't figure out the reason. But skill based learning is lacking and sadly this course is providing nothing but degree holding unskilled graduates (most of them). Though some who really explore the skills and work on themselves are achieving good jobs.
