Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is updated and for especially for mechanical engineering there is good academic and labs. Course curriculum is quite decent here but there is no smart board in every classes. The curriculum of the college is industry oriented. There are many exams and the frequency is 1 month. All the exams are eassy. But Major exam are quite tough.

Internships Opportunities

There is no companies for internship oncampus we have to try off campus for internship.There are no of petents in the year 2024.For project it is like hussele for students although students manage all well ???????

Placement Experience

The student are eligible for campus placement from 7 sem. There are no companies like maruti suzuki, tcs ,wipro,deltax ,JSW ,L and T due bad ranking many companies don't come for several years but now the ranking has improved so companies like amazon microsoft mahendra will come. The persent of students getting placed is above 85 percent.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees for BE is 75000 including hostels. Note- Mess charges are not included. There is a reasonable mess fee 3k-3.5k. Total for year fee break down. The admission fees -2300 Student Activity Related Fees-10400 Library Fees-2300 Development Fees-26400 Other charges-28000 Alumni-2000 Total tution fee 209600 Hostel Fee-3600 Total (Rs) with Hostel -317000 For sc/st there is no fee deducted. There are no of scholarship for students Many of the offerd by the government of India. It is eassy to get scholarship here.

Campus Life

There are fests like tech fest And madhuram which is cultural fest. There is avg facility in the class room. For sports there are many things but not as utilised. There is lots of clubs which can improve the student life in every manner.

Hostel Facilities

Fan,almirah,chair, table,bed are provided in the hostel room. The meal quality is decent. Hostel is affordable and the registration is completed during admission. Quite eassy process. There is no pg nearby.

Admission

For choosing the college there might be reason that I want to do mechanical Engineering and here M.E is better than other branches.Amf placement are quite good in M.E There is three ways of admission 1.Jee mains As this is cfti so there will to attend jossa and csab counselling for getting the college 2. Leet exam You can come directly in 2nd year through the exam and college level counselling. 3. This exam is for the polytechnic/diploma courses which is also a college level exam.

Faculty

Faculty to students ratio is quite good here around 1 faculty per 20 students. There are there exams in a semester there is two minors exam and a major exam.the dificulty level of exam are is not too much. An avg student can pass the exams.

Night Life

There is a gym and few open gyms There is a central library which have latest genrals and a lots of books. Campus timeing for boys is 8 pm. And for girls 7 pm. And hostel timeing for boys 10 pm. And for girls 7 pm. There are many places like sac and shoping complex to hang out with friends.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
