Remarks

It should give more importance to jee mains result. It should take an online document. Admission should be done in one day. Sometimes staff are not present in the academic cells.

I chose engineering college because I want to be an engineer. There is a good student ratio in college. Most of the faculty have master's degrees. Faculties are well qualified. Exams are taken on time. Student: Teacher ratio 1:15.

Internships Opportunities

Most of the internship is provided by company like TCS, WIPRO and INFOSYS. Stipend are of 20,000 to 30,000.Internshop are provided in city like Noida , Mohali and Chandigarh . Most of internship are efficient.

Placement Experience

College provided in campus placement, most of the recruiters are service-based. The highest package was 45 lac and the average is 5 lac. Nearly 80 per cent of students get placement. Most of the profiles offered are of DevOps engineers.

Fees and Financial Aid

Here many types of scholarships are provided. For residents of Punjab, there chief minister scholarship program. For other states students, there is a scholarship based on a percentage of 12 and Jee main percentile.

Campus Life

Tech fests are organised in months of April and October. The availability of books in the library is good. Classrooms are well maintained. Sports activities are organised on regular basis. Sports are regularly organised.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are well maintained and cleaned. Meals are nice and menu is decided by majority of students. Hostel is highly affordable. Upi can register yor hostel room easily. There is many PG in neighbor.

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak.That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
