Remarks

In my time, it was merit-based admission but now you have to give the entrance exam CUET. Everything related to admissions and your application is on DU's official website. Eligibility criteria are one has to have mathematics as one of the subjects in 12 and one language Hindi or English and plus 2 extra subjects and for now one has to give test for the same subjects and then comes to the merit list based on your exam results

I chose this course because of my love for mathematics and I wanted to study more in this field. We had a batch of 90-95 students which was then divided into 2 sections. So, the faculty-student ratio was quite efficient. And other than that a teacher mentor was allotted to a batch of 10 students, for any kind of academic and non-academic help. All the faculty members are very qualified professors, with PhD degrees and some of them are Adhoc teachers with good teaching skills. We have 6 semesters which means 2 exams per year. And the exams are not that hard to pass you just got to be consistent with your studies.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 15270 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

My fees were 15270 per year and I got every kind of facility that I needed, fully equipped computer labs, library, good infrastructure and a healthy environment. One gets a lot of opportunities for applying for scholarships in our college. Some are offered by the college, some by the university, some by very generous people, and many more.

Campus Life

Our annual fest is Tempest and it usually is conducted in the month of February/March but due to covid this time, it was in the month of April. Our department fest is Origin and it also happens near Tempest. Our library has a tremendous number of books. It is a huge 3 floored building filled with books on every subject. One gets to see so many different kinds of extracurricular activities in our college. There are so many different societies allotted to a different activity.

A college review full of pros and cons

Course Curriculum Overview:

The core subjects are very well divided, the main problem arises with the other additional subjects which requires efforts as same as the other subject even though they don't hold any importance as such. Maybe reducing other subject or making them practical based instead of theory based would be helpful.

The Life of A DRC student

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college are moderate as the average package is ?6.5 lakhs and the highest package is around ?23.02 lakhs . Many prestigious companies like delloite, accenture have held various placement sessions in DRC and it's overall a good to place for companies to get high skilled students. The placement cell is very active too which makes it possible for our college to get many internships and placements opportunities.

i think it's very outdated and not of any practical use unless you go for research and scientific fields of science. it does not prepare much for the real world and current market but teaches about biology and chemistry which helps sometimes. the frequency if exam is fine.

Campus Life:

The Fest organised by this college is Priyadarshini and the annual fest Rajnigandha. The Fest are not great in comparison to other du college and are not that much celebrated. There are many different kinds books present in library like literature,Hindi, Chemistry, Maths, zoology, biology, botany, political science, History Geography the books are only alloted till 12pm and only for 15 days after that you will be charged if book is not returned Sports and Extracurricular are good but classrooms are not that great most projectors in classrooms don't work . There are many good societies in college like jamini the art society and others but joining has caused students to leave their classes which affects them academically

KMC- Path to learn and grow

Placement Experience:

The placements cell Avenues regarding the placement offers coming to the college. Major companies of the job market come to the campus for recruitment like KPMG, deloitte, zepto, EY, ZS Associates and many more. The students from the final year itself gets eligible for placements. Around 30-40% students get the palcements through the placement drive. The highest package during the last palcement season was around 18 to 20LPA, while the average was 7 to 8LPA. I will certainly go for higher studies in operational research.
