Remarks
For getting admission in this course I appeared for GATE exam in which I scored above cutoff and shortlisted for this college. I applied online through official website of college and paid application fee of 2500 . I chose this college based on my CCMT counselling and also NIT Raipur is ranked 64 for engineering by NIRF, it is also recognized as the institute of national importance and funded by government of India under National Institute if Technology Act, 2007. Also, I submitted my BTech degree with 80% marks which is required for getting admission.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is mainly of 2 years. The total credits is 80. The course curriculum include topic of Distributed operating system, object oriented software engineering, computer network design, parallel system architecture, advance data structure and algorithms. Also elective page are sensor network, cyber crime laws and intellectual property rights, advance data modelling etc. The faculty are very helpful, cooperative and knowledgeable.
Placement Experience
My college has dedicated placement cell and the placement rate of the college is decent. The institute is ranked 18th for placement. In my batch, out of 25 students, 20 students got placed. The top companies visiting for placements are Capgemini, cognizant, Infosys, Vedanta, Pradan, MU Sigma, Infotech, L&T, 3D PLM Software etc. The average salary is 6.2 LPA and highest salary package is around 9 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The annual fee for this course cost me around 83000 which include 2000 as exam fee, 70,000 as tuition fee and 11000 as other fee. My college provides merit and need based scholarship to meritorious and needy students. These scholarship schemes are offered via the national scholarship portal and institute schemes. I haven't applied for any scholarship as fee is not very high as per me.
Campus Life
The infrastructure of my college campus are good. Our campus has central library which has a total of 1 lakh printed books and 1.75 lakhs eBooks, dedicated sports department that provides facilities for outdoor games like athletics, cricket, football, hockey, yoga exercises, lawn tennis etc. 24X7 wifi facility, five boys and two girls hostel which is well equipped with all the basic amenities. Also computer lab and medical healthcare facility. The college organizes several events, fest, competitions and functions annually.
