Remarks

Students must have 55% or more marks in the aggregate of ohysics, chemistry and mathematics and 50% or more marks in one compulsory language. Merit is calculated based on aggregate percentage in physics, chemistry and maths.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

There are around 85 students and 15 professors in my department. These professors are extremely experienced and helping. Teaching method is very elite as is proven by Miranda's yearly results. Students are way too satisfied.

Placement Experience

5

Accenture Dell BYJU's were among the companies that visited Miranda House this year. The highest package offered was 19.25LPA and average package was 7.47LPA. 3-4% students got placed this year. I want to become a professor.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The fees as I've mentioned before is around 19K. The cost to study is nominal. Hostel rents are cheaper than the pg rents. The names of the scholarships can be viewed at Miranda's official site with ease.

Campus Life

5

The department building is simply enchanting. It's entirely lined with magnificent red bricks and presents itself as vintage! The labs of Miranda House are unparalleled in all of DU and standout. They are always stocked and clean plus the safety of students inside the lab is well looked after. Every department has its own Wi-Fi which is easily accessible. Now, the library is elite, is literally royal! It envelopes the dark academia aesthetic and remains pristine. It passes the serene vibe check too. Volumes and editions of every other book is available in here. Moving on, the classrooms are spacious with huge glass/picture windows thus extremely ventilated and well lit. There's board and projector in every classroom. The toilets are hygienic and have mirrors.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Rooms are fully furnished with 2 bed and 2 mattresses, 1 dressing table with drawers, 2 study table and chairs and 1 almirah and a notice board as well. Food is good. Breakfast, lunch, teashare and dinner.. Once in a week we get non- veg. Also once or twice we get kheer or any desert. No curfew is there in the hostel.. U can go out and comeback at anytime.. Just have to sign while going out (if going before 6:30, no need to mention)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think my course was very best for those who have not decided their future plans. They want to explore more field of science not restricted to a particular field (as like me). It includes biochemistry, botany, zoology and physics chemistrynot (not so much). So it gives you number of opportunity to persued different field as your career in future.

I chose this course because it is one such course that can never bore you. I have interest in analytical solving and problem solving. The curriculum is much more theory based and doesn't prepare the students much for real world or corporate world applications

Placement Experience:

After completing the IV Semester, students become eligible to participate in Campus Placements. Companies like Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, and DeShaw visit campus every year and recruit students. The highest package offered for the Batch of 2023 is 21 LPA, and the Overall Average Package is around 4-5 LPA. But No. of Placements is less due to some factors, such as Companies being fewer the number of visits here, also the Majority of Students opt for a master's. CGPA should be more than 8, to sit in Placements. My Plan is to do a master's if I can't get the placements then Polish my skills to get a job in a reputed company in IT.
