Remarks

For admission to MBBS in any college in India, you have to give NEET UG exam. Eligibility- Must have PCB in classes 11 and 12. NEET application generally comes in the month of December. And the exam is generally held on the first Sunday of May. VMMC have 85% of the state quota in it, which basically means if you have done or doing your 11th and 12th from Delhi State then you will be eligible for 85% of the seats! It also has some quota from the central pool which is available for the students of states or union Territory having no medical college; or wards of defence personnel; etc. I personally availed the OBC reservation under State Quota. In my year following was the last rank allotted to my college in first counselling

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I always wanted to be a doctor so I choose this course. MBBS is a 5-year course consisting of 19 subjects as of now including 1 year of internship (4+1=5). The faculty-student ratio is very good here. In each department, there is a ratio of 5-8 students per teacher (including JRs). The faculty is very famous even internationally and has very unique teaching skills. Many of the faculties are even teaching in famous NEET PG coaching like PrepLadder, Marrow, DAMS and Bhatia. Few of the faculty is the author of the books used for MBBS in whole India like Dr Sparsh Gupta, Dr Geetika Khanna, Dr Mangla Kohli, and many more. Most of the faculty have even super specialisation - MBBS MD/MS/DM Due to covid, my exams of the first year were held late but before that, it was always on time as told by my seniors. You have to study 2-3 hours daily to pass the exams. Exams are tough. There are theory and practical papers each of 100 marks. To pass you have to score more than 50%. With an attendance of 80%

Internships Opportunities

4

During the internship, we have to work in different departments of the attached Hospital which is one of the most famous hospitals in India that is Safdarjung Hospital. During this time we are awarded this type of 23,500 per month. The internship is more important here as there is a vast load of patients in the hospital hence it helps us to be better clinicians.

Fees and Financial Aid

Currently, the fee is 45000/year. Hostel fees are 500 per month (excluding minimal security charges in both fees which are returned at the end of the course). There are several options for scholarships from the government which are given on their website of 'national scholarship portal' with all the eligibility criteria given on the same. Students can also apply for some private/trust-based scholarships which can be found in the Academic section. There is stipend of 23500 per month in internship.

Campus Life

4

Nirvana is the annual feast celebrated in VMMC in the month of August/September. There is VPL which is a sports feast/meet with many sports including cricket, football, TT, badminton, Kho-Kho, tug of war, UNO, Call of Duty, and many more. There is a shortage of area in the campus due to its location hence we are shortage of space for playing most of the sports. We don't have a gym yet! Have one TT table, 3 badminton courts and one basketball court! And the list ends here! Everyone here is sad about the fact that we don't have a place to play. We generally rent a ground to play football or cricket with our own money! There are many social groups- fashion society, sports society/ drama society/ photography society and more.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

We have free electricity! we can also use AC in our hostel rooms. Each room is allotted for two students. There are two hostels for boys and one for girls. We have to buy our own Wi-Fi though compared to IITs. Quality of meal is better than good usually. We don't have a buffet system, You can buy whatever you want to eat. We have juice corners and ice cream corners. Mess is open 24/7 and even they deliver the order to our room just on a call any time of the day. It is even budget-friendly. There is a shortage of rooms in hostels which is why it is first given to the student of all India quota than to the students of state quota. Hostel rooms are cheap as they are 500 per month even after including the electricity bill. You have to apply in the warden's office for a hostel room.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As the curriculum is well organised and implemented as well. After completing one unit of each subject the exams are conducted as class test. We have postings in our 2nd year.We go to wards and observe patients. One thing that should be improved is teaching method. It should not be only slide reading rather it should be interactive one.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS COURSE is a professional course and popular course all over the world. In this you have better opportunities after the course you can increase your qualification by MD, MS after MBBS. MBBS is less chance to job less you can do the job in any hospital as a doctor (physician) or any specialist after MD. And also you can start your clinic. Facility students ration is less but it's enough 10-12 members of faculties in one subject but In UCM students also 170 in one batch So the ratio is good Faculties are more qualified and well experienced. Their knowledge is excellent. Their teaching method is really in a good way. They mostly teach through ppt on projectors and mic. Practicals are performed in good way Teachers help every student to perform practicals. 170 students divided into small groups with a teacher provide to every group so you can perform practical in a good way. Term exam held in every 3,4 months and difficulty is not more but also it is not so easy.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Bcoz in mbbs in addition to money there is also a lot of respect, plus it is easy to explain what are u doing ? 2. There are a total of 100 students in our batch and there are at least 2-3 assistant professors, 1 head of department, and at least 4-5 postgraduate and senior residents 3. Assistant professor and Head of the department has already completed there pg's and has experience of 5-10 year of teaching, Senior resident had also completed their pg but the difference between sr's, AP, and HoD is that sr's have lack of experience 4. There is an exam after completion of a particular unit and this is easy then comes the term exam which occurs after 2-3 months it comes under the category of moderate then there is pre-proof before the proof this is quite hard even for some say it's harder than proof, then finally comes off the last exam of that particular year after proof another year start bcoz results of proof usually take 2,3,4 weeks at least
