Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

MBBS is a course that leads us to a no le profession that is a doctor . And this course prepares us very well for the real world and how to interact w people as we regularly meet patients in the hospital during our postings.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

There are no external internships in MBBS . In mbbs u have to do 1 year of compulsory internship in the same college for which we are also given stipend each month. And as far as for vmmc it has the best exposure for internship

Fees and Financial Aid

I am currently in first year and i have paid Rs.50,000 for the whole year . Tuition fees is Rs.15,000. University fees is Rs.25,000. Student activity fees is Rs.5000 . Security money is Rs.5000(refundable ). The fees is same for all student irrespective of their their category . Since it is a government college so the fees is already subsidized so no scholarships.

Campus Life

4

NIRAVAN - is tge annual fest of our college (inter college) . Then we have VPL (intra college sports fest) .library operates 24/7 and it has every book u can think of . For sports we have a society infernos which is very active . We have students association and other societies as well.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are 2 boys hostel and 1 girls hostel . The condition of the rooms is great . The fees is 6k for an year . We are even allowed to use AC or any other appliance . We are given rooms on a basis of 2 person sharing till 3rd year . The rooms are not that spacious but it works . The mess is 24/7 working and good food with affordable price .

Admission

I was confused between MAMC VMMC(my clg) and AIIMS . AIIMS i couldn't qualify . Now between vmmc and mamc . Both are great colleges but vmmc has better infrastructure as it is a newer clg . Hostel facilities are better in vmmc . Its has more PG quota comparatively.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty to student ratios is very good . The faculty is very understanding and helpful. Not just our professors but seniors and SRs JRs are also very helpful. Each department's faculty is great in its own way . There is nothing about them that i dislike . Exams are conducted regularly . Very relevant to course .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very well structured and includes detailed study of all the aspects of medicine which is very relevant in today's world. Since mbbs curriculum is more about practical and less about theory we get a really good patient exposure which makes us ready to deal with patient problems in real life. The course curriculum can be made a little less hectic as in fourth year there are 11 subjects to cover so they can be distributed equally in all the other years and teaching methods can be made more interactive instead of professors just reading the slides monotonously

Curriculum of mbbs is very comprehensive and makes you capable of handling medical emergencies, and not miss out on diagnosing critical cases. With the new CBME curriculum by nmc in place, additional focus is also given on the AETCOM (attitude, ethics and communication) module which is aimed at improving the quality of healthcare professionals produced by this country.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is decided by the NMC therefore it is same for all of the doctors. Our college has a good clinical exposure and thus we learn a lot. The course prepares you well, but you always have to learn by yourself. In the area of clinical expertise the treatment of common disease must be taught separately. We have exams Nearly every 3 months, which can be tough to manage, considering that you have to score an average of more than 50% in them . Difficulty level is intermediate

MBBS is less chance to job less you can do the job in any hospital as a doctor (physician) or any specialist after MD. And also you can start your clinic. Facility students ration is less but it's enough 10-12 members of faculties in one subject but In UCM students also 170 in one batch So the ratio is good Faculties are more qualified and well experienced.
