Remarks

I got admission through comedk, got 4669 rank in the same and got CSE in the first round. I was planning to go for Dayanand but after seeing the placements of both in 2022, I can say bmsit is far better in terms of placements.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I was into computer science from class 11th onwards, so I choose CSE. The faculty-student ratio is 1:75. Except for 3-4 teachers, most of them just copy-paste things from sheets, that they carry for giving lectures, on the blackboard. In online classes also, most of the teachers would just simply read the ppts. In labs also, they will ask us to write programs ourselves without giving any prior knowledge and if some student has a doubt, they will try to avoid it. 2022 CSE batch has mass bunked a lot for these reasons only. Before internals and externals, teachers will provide students with pdfs and ppts that they could have sent at the start of the sem. Some teachers may not complete the final modules and will just simply send the pdfs and ppts for the same before the externals.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internships are provided in our colleges before joining as full-time employees. The salary will range between 10,000 - and 50,000. Placement cell also charges rs 3000 for each offer a student gets through the college. A student can have a maximum of 2 offers. There are three types of offers: 1> 3 - 6 LPA. 2> 7 - 10 LPA. 3> Above 10 LPA. Suppose if one has a type 1 offer, then he can only have the type 2 and type 3 offers. Also, if someone got a type 3 offer, he can't opt for any other company as he already has a dream offer. That's how the placement goes here.

Placement Experience

4.5

Campus placements are good. For 2021 - 2022, the average would be above 7 LPA. Some companies from our college: NewFold Digital ( SDE ) : 15 LPA. SAP LABS ( Customer Support Associate ): 14 LPA. Amazon( Cloud Support Associate ): 12 LPA. MoneyView ( SDE , Data Scientist ) : 16LPA. Cloudera ( ASDE ) : 17.7 LPA. GAMES24X7 ( SDET ) : 14 LPA. ZEE ( ASDE ) : 14 LPA. Phareasy (SDE): 12 LPA ANZ ( Data Engineer ) : 11 LPA. Microfocus (SDE): 10 LPA. Carl Zeiss ( SDE ): 10 LPA. BMSIT is a completed software-oriented college, it does not provide good roles in AI as far as 2022 is concerned. MoneyView is a startup of around 250- 300 as of 2022, so it's up to you if you want to join it as they don't maintain a work culture and as far as ANZ is concerned, the growth will be really slow for the roles. You can go through glassdoor for the same. Please don't go for a company by just seeing the package, go through glassdoor and briefly study each role and future growth.

Fees and Financial Aid

A loan facility is available. A scholarship facility is available. Fees hike is too much. During the covid times, we were at the home for almost 8-9 months and we had to pay the total hostel fees and education fees.

Campus Life

4

The campus is good. We have two gyms, one is in the c block of the boys' hostel and another one is next to the chemistry lab on the ground floor. We have lots of clubs here. But to be honest, as i final year student, I would say it will be a waste of time. I would say to invest more time on coding and projects than these because in the end, people are here for placements and in the interviews, no one will ask about this information. However, if you are applying for MS /MTech, it will be helpful.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel facilities are really bad. If you have some issues like your study table light is not working, your fan is not working or if the washing machine is not working, it would take weeks to solve such problems. Earlier, I have discussed the hostel fees problem, you can go through it.

Placement Experience:

The institute records an impressive average package of ~INR 7.20 LPA and the highest packages reaching up to INR 53.50 LPA. The college actively drives employability through a dedicated 'Talent Transformation Hub'. Campus Placements Overview CIT is known for its solid industry connections, resulting in 80–90% placement rates annually. Top Recruiters: Companies like Accenture, Infosys, HP, Amazon, and Samsung. The Process: The placement cell conducts specialized skill-building boot camps and provides structured mentorship to ensure students are corporate-ready by graduation. If Placements Fall Short: Employability & Alternative Plans Even though CIT consistently places the vast majority of its batch, students who do not secure on-campus job offers (or wish to pursue other paths) have robust support through: Startup & Entrepreneurial Initiatives: CIT has an active E-Cell and a business connection to help budding founders. The Talent Transformation Hub focuses on practical knowledge needed to start a business. Higher Education: Students frequently leverage the college's alumni network and faculty mentorship to prepare for competitive exams like GATE, or to apply for Master's programs (MS, M.Tech) in India or abroad. Off-Campus Drives & Internships: Students are encouraged to undertake industry internships and live projects to build their portfolios, making it easier to land off-campus roles at top tech companies.
