Entrance Preview

WBJEE i choose IT because there was news that many IT sectors was about to get develope in 2012. Interview was apprehensive and admission was desirable.

Course Curriculum Overview

There was many cources like information technology, electronic and communication, computer science, and electronic and instrumentation, Information technology was a good one and create many opportunities for students.

Placement Experience

Many company comes like accenture, tcs, sintel, ibm etc and many other small firms as well but the salary offers was around 20000 to 28000. But it was all in pool campusing if it was only our college than it would be good for students.

College Events

There were many events like fest and all festival pujas and sports event like cricket football badminton table tennis and carom as well atheletic events was also performs.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was feasible with less amount it was around 30000 per semester but seperate examination fee could haunt you. It is around 1000 so hardly bearable from students pockets.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarships was offers to us by any means from college to us but library was fee of cost so you can enjoy as much books as you can.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are nothing just staying in an building and mess food are tough to bare so I wish better not to leave in hostels.

Exam Structure

School faculty hardly have any control over the examination cheatings all over if the flying guard is not available horrible marks distribution of practicals.

Not that much helpful they mind there own business. They hardly approaches student for getting enhance in their knowledg they dont even bother to take classes if only few students are available practicals classes are horrible with less experience teachers.

Reality of IIT KGP

Placement Experience:

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

Placement Experience:

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

SURTECH REVIEW

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.
