Remarks
One can get admission to this college by appearing in the WBJEE exam. You have to secure a rank between 9k-12k for getting the CSE branch. The admission office is located at Park Street, Kolkata. You have to visit at least 2 times this office to confirm your admission.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty to Student ratio is good. There are enough teachers for each and every branch and each subject. For being in Bengal, I haven't faced any language problems with teachers. The way of their teaching is very understandable.
Internships Opportunities
Some private companies come to college for internships or training but charge a certain amount of fee for those training. You can get an internship offer from a company if you can clear their exams. Some of the students from my batch got an internship offer from E&Y. Advent also offers internships.
Placement Experience
After 6th students are eligible to sit for placement interviews. Companies come around last July to mid-August and they continue to come until last January or February. The average package is 3.6 lacs, and the highest package for this year's passing student is 12 lacs. Almost 90% of students get selected for any company.
Fees and Financial Aid
For me, the fee for the full course was 3.64 lacs. But maybe the tuition fee has increased in the last years. The college is affiliated so you can apply for any government loan our scholarship program. There are some additional fees like examination fee every semester and etc.
Campus Life
There are annual and tech fest but for me, it didn't happen due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But maybe from this year fest can be organised. There are plenty of books present in the library for the course and for other than the course. There is also a Digital library where many books are stored in digital form.
Hostel Facilities
The is located outside of college campus approximately at 1km of distance. It takes normally 15 minutes of walk with normal pace.The food of the hostel is on average level but sometimes they cook good meal but only on special occasions. There is also a oftion for vegetarian students. There are several PG are located around college.
