IIT Goa Review

IIT Goa is a very good option for average people like me I secured a decent rank in JEE and my academic score was also 60%. IIT Goa is a new member of the IIT family and I was allotted the seat during my JOSAA counseling as I did not have any doubt in the college since I entered the campus because it is one of the new IITs and the IITs are always very good in education quality and faculty standards are very high.

The college is new so the curriculum of the college was also up to date and meets all the industrial regulations and norms. The curriculum covers all the topics related to computer technology and physics and physical training program. The faculty of the college is really very high standards. The college does not compromise the quality of the faculty. The faculty helps us in every possible way and provides us with lots of guidance during the time of assignments and project work. The faculty of the college have completed their Ph.D. program from the top universities of India and their research work are very well known and published in many journals too.

Everyone from my class has to attend the internship program as the internship is compulsory for every one of us and anyone who is involved in any kind of research activity can skip the internship by providing relevant documents to the placement commute. The average stipend for an internship is around 45k.

The college was new and we were not expecting much from the college placement drive but we were shocked by seeing the top companies taking part in the college campus drive. Google, L&T, KPMG, Sony, Samsung were among 75+ companies that took part in the college placement drive. The highest salary offer was 43 LPA and the average salary package was 12 LPA which was very good placement offers from such a new college.

To college also provides scholarships through various schemes like Merit-cum-means scholarship, Free Messing facility, Fee Remission, Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship. The complete eB.Tech program fee is around 9.15 lakh but the average salary package of the college is around 12 LPA and the highest salary offer was around 43 LPA which is a tremendous return on investment from a newly established college.

The college campus life is good. the college follows no-ragging police very strictly. The college campus is properly kept clean. The college building is properly maintained. The classrooms are properly ventilated and equipped with digital boards. The college library is the house of many knowledgable books of our domain and many others domain books are also available to enhance our knowledge. The college campus has a WiFi facility also.

The hostel is good. The rooms are properly ventilated and fully furnished. The hostel rooms and bathrooms are cleaned 5 days a week. The hostel mess food quality is just average. The wardens are very professional and the hostel staff is very well trained to maintain the hostel discipline. The hostel has 24 hours of water and power supply. The hostel also has the facility of indoor games like table tennis, carrom and many more. the hostel security is good and available 24 hours.
