TMI- Good for hardworking and adventurous students

The eligibility of the course is 60% in pcm in class 10 application forms can be found in official website of tmi There are no reservation Admission process is simple and smooth and no improvement needed

Course mainly comprises of mechanical engineering and eletrical engineering so I have intrest in mechanical engineering and I believe this college has a future. Faculty to student ratio is1:20. There are faculties ,instructors for specified field All faculties are core marine engineers and have deep research in the particular field. They usually use the experience to teach the students and course circullum is according to university Every exams are in between 6 weeks and exams are of semester type

After first year I get into Maersk Line and college have policy if u accept one offer You are not eligible for further offers. some companies like NYK,TK came at same time as Maersk Major projects are Boiler, Smart street lights using LDR. Faculties are humble to support you during project and practically implement it.

After first year you are eligible for placements. The major companies that visits our college are Maersk tankers, Nyk, Stena shipping, Fleet management, TK shipping The highest pacakge goes to 24 lakhs per annum and average will be 15 lakhs per annum Now the placement percentage comes down . As per latest figure only 50% manage to get placement offers Now i am a working professional in Maersk Line and planning to do mba after some years

Fees hike do occur in every year. As of now its 20 lakhs total course including hostel fee. girls students have 50% waiver in tution fees There are certainn scholarships which you can apply like vasant j seth , tolani but these are need cum merit scholarships. Anyhow if u get in top 20 you will get financial scholarship of 20k.

There is one annual fest occurs in November month . it is named as Horizon. There is one tech fest named Horizon occured in May month. All books are available in College . They take the fees with the admission fees. Library have great extension of books . WIth technical and non technical one can access to huge knowledge and any topics of their likeness There are total of 10 clubs and each club is headed by a faculty with 10-15 students as members.There are sports club , maths club etc. Every year inter house tournament conducted by sports club.

Rooms provided in hostels are of good quality, 2 students lived in each room. There are one bed ,one table and one cupboard for each student Meals provided are of good quality there are both veg and non veg items and menu will be provided for each week on Monday only. Hostel registration will be done during admission only and every student is mandatory to stay in hostel. There are strict rules in college like no smoking and no alcohol and they can restricateou without warnings if found smoking and consuming alochol

There were no GD for selection. You will have to give tmisat then if u get selection you will be advised to do medical examination and after that basic interview (personal) . If you are good in all three aspects you will get the call letter on the same day. You need to have basic fundamental clear in physics and maths in class 11 and class 12 to pass the test. You need atleast 50% to go for next rounds
