IIIT Kota Review

IIIT Kota is the joint venture between the Ministry of Education (MoE) Govt. of India and Govt. of Rajasthan under the PPP model. CSE is one of the popular and flagship courses of the college. I was allocated a seat during the JOSAA counselling after clearing my JEE mains. The plus point is that the hostel is situated in my hometown. I was looking for a college where I don't have to opt for a hostel and IIIT Kota best suits my preference.

The curriculum of the college is up to date and with the latest industrial guidelines. The college curriculum is designed to provide us with full knowledge of programming and coding language and help us to understand the impact of technology on modern industrial developments. The faculty of the college is good and highly qualified. The faculty teaching methods are simple they use simple teaching methods to make our concept clear. The faculty is easily approachable to solve our queries.

The college provides a good opportunity for an internship and we are also eligible for the internship after completing the three years of our B.Tech program. We have to register our details with the placement committee so that they can help us to identify companies for internships and guide us. The average stipend for the internship is approx 44 k.

The college has good placement programs. College placement is known all over India. The college has a record of 95% placement. The college placement committee plays a very important role in it as the placement process is completely organized by the placement committee of the college and they're also responsible for our placements as they fully guide us and help us out during every round of placement. The highest package for our batch was around 38 LPA and the average package was around 10 LPA.

Scholarship on a merit basis is also available and a complete waiver on tuition fees for SC/ST is available in the college. On-campus banks provide the education loan facility for the college and the college admission staff is very cooperative during the education loan. At the moment college operates from Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur. The college campus life is friendly to the college seniors and the staff is very cooperative and friendly. The college has three canteens on the campus. The college classrooms are properly ventilated. The college library has many academics and non-academics books.

I did not opt for the hostel because my house was just nearby from the college. But most of the batchmates have opted for a hostel so as per feedback from them I can say that the hotel is good and properly maintained. The food art mess is good and 24 hours of power and water supply is available. The rooms are available on triple, double and single sharing accommodation.
