Remarks

The admission in Jamia Milia Islamia is based on JEE MAINS entrance exam. If you want to get in CS or ECE branch, then targetting a rank of under 50k will be safe for you. Otherwise, students having a jee rank of 90k-1lakh also get admitted to BTech civil branch. There is also a reservation in seats for OBC, SC/ST, and Muslims. Make sure that you apply for the councelling on the official website of JMI to appear in admission councelling and keep checking the site for important dates.

Course Curriculum Overview

Firstly I got selected in the mechanical branch and then upgraded to electrical and then to electronics and communication branch. Faculties are good and every year, many students of our college get placed in good companies. There are a total of 5 branches in BTech and each branch has a total of 70 seats. So the total number of seats available in BTech is 350.

Internships Opportunities

There are societies in Jamia that work and provide opportunities for startups also. Students can also do their internships according to their abilities and their skills. There are internships for web development and Android development and many others. Opportunities for the core branch students are not that encouraging instead they have to do some extra learning in the computer field because there are more opportunities in it.

Placement Experience

Students can do internships in any year but the placement process takes place only for 4th-year students. The package for CS and ECE branches are quite good with an average package of 10 lacs and the lowest package of 3 lacs. Almost 80-90% of students get placed from CS and ECE branches. The placements for other core branches are not that good

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee of BTech in jmi is very economical and the fee is just Rs 16150 for 1 year which is almost free of cost for BTech. It's a Central University which is the reason for such a low fee. There are also many scholarship programs in the university to help the weaker sections of our society economically and there are also many societies to help students develop their personalities.

Campus Life

Apart from studies, the college also organizes many competitions and fests. There is also a fresher's week where students get to interact with each other and show their talent. The societies of jmi keep organizing many competitions where students get to show their talent and win prizes. This also helps them to gain confidence and develop their personality.

Placement Experience:

The placements are between average and good. There are total 300 companies that come for placements. The core companies usually come at around 8 LPA to 15 LPA, and th tech companies come at 15 LPA to 45LPA. The non tech companies come at 10 LPA to 25 LPA. Students become eligible for placements from 7th semester. The placements season lasts for 144 days. The students become eligible for internship form the end of 4th semester. My plans after getting the degree are two way. The short term plan is to do a job in core and in the long run, build my business.

From the seventh semester, students are eligible to sit in the placement drive. There are plenty of good companies that every student dreams of visiting our college. Almost the same companies visit NSUT, which goes to DTU or IIIT or IITs(Packages could be lower than IITs). Students can apply for any sort of company whether its a tech domain or nontech or core domain. The no. of core companies is quite less than dtu and IITs but the no. of tech companies is higher than dtu. The placement percentage has significantly reduced to 42% in past years. The average package is around 10 lpa.

A Glimpse of DTU

Placement Experience:

Like ig from 5th sem(3rd year) students can apply for internships. Famous companies that visit campus are- Apple,Google, Microsoft,IBM,Amazon etc Highest offers made were 1.2 CR (international package)... much data is not shared publicly so how many students were given that package is not known. Average package of software engineering is near about 20LPA rest it always stay above 18LPA. In tech branches almost 80%-90% students get placed Mp will get a job in other country after this degree

DTU is one of best college for engineering in Delhi.

Placement Experience:

Placement is great in DTU almost 70% students gets selected in good companies.Students become eligible for placements from the 7th semester (i.e. 4th year). 2024 placement session is currently going on but in 2023 the placement for technical branches was more than 80%. Our past recruiter includes companies like google, Microsoft, SanDisk, Flipkart, Amazon and many more big companies. Take a look at my college

As I have mentioned earlier that the fees for my btech course is very cheap as compare to other colleges that's why I chose this college over other colleges this college gives you a good return on investment as fees is very less and average package is also decent. No I didn't applied for any other colleges nor I didn't receive any rejection. Admission process is very simple and smooth for this college and course. First of all you have to give jee mains exam and to score good rank if your rank lies less than 1.5lakhs you will surely get admission in this college for any btech branch according to your rank. So after getting cutoff rank you will need to fill their seperate registration form for admission as this University doesn't participate in josaa and other counselling it conducts their own counselling so for this you have to fill their admission form in around month of March -April then after declaration of jee mains result they start selecting students according to their cutoff and give them admission.If your name comes then simply you just have to go with your documents and complete their admission process and pay fees then that's it your admission is complete and start your classes....Read More

Studying on a central university was my dream. So i choose Jamia. Because it's on the centre of India. And all transportation facilities are there near Jamia.
