IIIT Kalyani Review

To be part of IIIT Kalyani one must secure a minimum of 75% in 10+2 and must clear the JEE mains exam. IIIT Kalyani is recognized as the Department of Scientific And Industrial Research. The board of Governors of the college is the representative of the Government of India(MHRD) and The Government of West Bengal. I was allotted the seat during my JOSAA counseling as I was able to meet the cutoff eligibility conditions of the college and CSE B.Tech is the flagship course of the college. I was interested in computers and computer algorithms and data science so I decided to opt for the CSE program.

My interest in computers algorithms and data science allowed me to choose the CSE program. The curriculum does not disappoint us as it is up to date and as per the industrial standards. The curriculum gives us complete insight into computer data algorithms. operating system, circuit analysis, digital logic, and many more.

The internship program is mandatory and we are eligible for the internship after completing the 3 years of our program. The internships good opportunity for us to learn about the professional world. The average stipend for the internship is around 45k.

The college provides good placement and the college has a record of 100% placement. We have to register our details with the college placement committee to take part in the placement round. The college placement is fully responsible for the placement process and they fully cooperate with us and help us to crack every round of placement so that we can receive good packages. The highest package for the batch was around 18 LPA and the average salary package is around 12 LPA.

The college complete four-year program fee is around 8 lakh which is a little on the higher side as a comparison to other government and private colleges in India but the college placement is pretty good. The college provides scholarships on a merit basis and income-based scholarships are also available. Scholarship for SC/ST/PWD is also available. The college life of the campus is very good and the seniors and administrative staff are very friendly and cooperative. Octoberfest is the college annual fest which is organised in the month of October every year. The college infrastructure is well maintained. The college library is good and all academic and non-academic books are available in the library. Various types of sports competitions are also organised among the different departments.

The hostel infrastructure is well maintained and the rooms are big and spacious and the rooms are available on a triple and double sharing basis. The hostel mess food is good. The hostel is kept clean and hygienic. The hostel has 24 hours of water and power supply facility. The hostel wardens and staff are very cooperative. The hostel has all the basic facilities as per our comfort and need.

The faculty of the college is very good they are friendly and cooperative. The faculty of the college is of Ph.D. level and they really help us to clear our doubts whenever we approach the faculty.
