Remarks
The admission process usually takes an entire day since it includes document verification ( 10th mark sheet and certificate, 12th mark sheet and certificate, reservation certificates if applicable). The admission actually depends on the cut off which includes achieving a certain percentage or more in the best three subjects. Usually for computer science, you need to include the marks of maths, English and any other subject in which you scored the best in your 12th. The cut-off varies for people belonging to ST, SC, OBC, EWS, or PWD category.
Course Curriculum Overview
Computer science itself is a really practical subject. Despite most of my graduation including online studies. Yet the faculty was really supportive. The practicals and projects were really interesting and hence choosing a major in computer science is not a mistake I believe. The entire course is of 3 years which includes 6 semesters.
Internships Opportunities
Many startups do provide internships in our college but it isn't that great. Although in-house internships are really fun and we do get to learn a lot. Some projects are really fun but all don't get to work in the good ones.
Placement Experience
Usually, final-year students are eligible for campus interviews. The placement isn't that good. Although some companies do visit the campus. The avg package offered by the companies varies between 2.5 - 5.5 CTC.
Fees and Financial Aid
The perks of getting into a college under Delhi University is that you get a quality education and it doesn't cost you much. People who suffer from the financial crisis can also apply for scholarships. Many in my class managed to get a pretty good scholarship after background verification. Although the placement is average. A lot of students don't usually get placed.
Campus Life
The annual fest karwaan is really fun and include concerts and performances by a variety of societies and interesting competition. The classrooms and seminar rooms are pretty comfortable and spacious. On the other hand, the library is really useful. I have seen many students peacefully reading in the library.
