IIT Jammu Review

I was looking for a college with a good faculty ratio, low student crowd, and good placement opportunities. IIT Jammu topped my list because the first main reason was that I am from Jammu and the college is very popular here for its educational standards, faculty and placement packages. So I decided to take admission to IIT Jammu I must clear the GATE exam which I already did and meet the cutoff list. Should secure a minimum of 60% marks in my bachelor's degree. To apply for admission I have to visit the college official website to fill the admission form and pay an application fee of Rs. 300/-.

The curriculum of the programs meets all the industrial norms and standards of engineering. The curriculum is designed to impart knowledge about the changing technology and protection of data in the information world. The curriculum helps us to understand the importance of data protection in this information-driven industry.

The internship is part of the curriculum. The internship gives us an opportunity to understand the working environment of the corporate world. The college placement committee is very experienced and they guide us to choose the company according to our interest level and learning opportunity. The stipends for internships range from Rs. 25000/- to Rs. 1,00,000/-. Around 20+ companies participated in the internship program.

The college provides us with good placement. The college placement committee is able to attract a good number of companies and market leaders for placement drive in the college. The placement committee is very helpful and supportive the train us and guide us according to the requirements of the company for placement. The highest package for our batch went up to 45 LPA and the average package during our batch was around 15 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Arista Networks, The Captury, DESAY S V Automotive, Toppr, HealthifyMe, L&T, Cognizant, Indian Air Force (IAF), etc participated in the college placement drive.

The campus is beautifully surrounded by the hills and located in a scenic view. The campus life of the college is good and fun. The college organises many events and fests like Technectus is a technical fest, Renao is a cultural fest. The college library has many books around the world and international journals. The classrooms are big and properly ventilated. The seniors of the college are very friendly and supportive. The classrooms are also equipped with AC. There are labs available for every department.

The hostel rooms are big and spacious and properly cleaned. The rooms are cleaned 5 times a week. The rooms are shared by 2 students. The rooms have all the basic facilities like bed, study table and separate almirahs for every student. The hostel is very diverse as there are students from every corner of India. The cultural diversity is also reflected in the menu and the menu is very vast and from South Indian to North Indian we are served with all kinds of food. The hostel provides us with all kinds of basic and modern facilities.

The faculty of the college is very professional and experienced. The college does not compromise with the quality of the faculty. The faculty is helpful and we can approach them at any time to clear our doubts.
