Remarks

The eligibility of the course is 12th pass with science subject and get around under 45k rank in WBJEE or Jee main exams. The application form, application fees, and application dates find on the college website. No... Don't have any caste reservations. I didn't need any improvement in the admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose the course because I am interested in Computer related work and I need a job in an IT company. The teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. All are with Ph.D. degrees. Their teaching quality is very good. The exam will be held on every semester. Yes, this course is curriculum-relevant. Yes, it makes the student industry-ready. If someone studies properly there is not that much difficulty with the semester exams in this college.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities

75 percent of students got internships from our course and the companies are TCS, Adobe, etc. And the roles offered under internships with stipends are data entry, software development, etc. The project is developing software for a company and many more projects.

Placement Experience

4.5

From six semesters students become eligible for campus placements. The highest offer package is 10lakhs and the lowest and average package is 4lakhs. Top recruiting companies for the course is TCS, WIPRO, COGNIZANT, ACCENTURE, etc. 80 percent of the total students get placed. After getting the degree of BTech in Computer Science and Engineering I try to get a job in IT companies like TCS, IBM, WIPRO, COGNIZANT, ABODE, and MICROSOFT also.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total cost of the Computer Science and Engineering course is around 4.5 lacks. In this course, the student of West Bengal got an SVMCM scholarship and the student outside of West Bengal got NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP.

Campus Life

Hackathon, quad x is the annual fest and tech fest and in the month of January, they are conducted. Our library is enriched with books. Classrooms are beautifully decorated and clean. In the front of the college campus, a big ground is available for sports and extracurricular activities. A college social group is available on Facebook.

Placement Experience:

At JGEC,campus placements begin mostly from the 6th/final year semester,when students become eligible .I recent years many well-known companies have visited such as Pinnacle Infotech,Synnova Gears & Transmissions Pvt.Ltd,,TCS,Jyesta corporate Entity and many more.The highest package was around 54 LPA form Google ,While the overall average is 10.2LPA.Many students also take internships, industrial training or prepare for higher studies(GATE) rather than accepting direct placement immediately.The exact percentage of student getting palcement is no where.But last year the percentage placed is 70%.

Overall the placement percentage of the college is good for both the core and non-core courses almost near 90%. All the students in there 3rd year i.e. in their 5th or 6th semester are elegible for campus placements.
