Remarks
I was interested in Information Technology one of my neighbours who was a pass out from NIT Raipur suggested me the college name. During my research, I found that NIT Raipur is one of the oldest engineering colleges in India and is very popular for its engineering courses and the faculty of the college are also highly qualified. The candidate must qualify GATE exam and must secure 60% (55% marks for SC.ST/PWD students) marks in B.Tech in a relevant discipline. Then the candidate has to appear for CCMT counselling and has to feel an application form by submitting Rs. 2500/- and Rs. 2000/- for SC/ST/PWD students. After the allotment of the seat, the student has to pay fee allotment fees Rs. 30000/- for Gen/GEN/OBC/EWS and Rs. 10000/- for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum of the college without a doubt is of the highest industrial standards. The curriculum is regularly updated according to the latest industrial norms so that students are aware of the industrial changes. The curriculum is a blend of traditional and modern techniques so that students' interest in studies is maintained.
Internships Opportunities
The internship is part of the curriculum but students who are involved in any kind of research or project work can skip internships. The college placement committee work as a guiding force for students to identify companies for internship. Companies like Google, Infosys, Wipro, Amazon are part of the internship programs. The stipends during the internship depend on the company internship police and the stipends range from Rs. 15000/- to Rs. 96000/- according to the tenure of internship.
Placement Experience
The college provides a 100% placement record. The placement committee is very hardworking and professional and is able to attract a good number of companies on the campus for placement. The highest package for the batch was around 18 LPA and the average package was around 10 LPA. I also received a package of 11 LPA from Google. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Barclays, Oracle, Wipro, Siemens, Adobe, Fiat, TATA, Reliance, etc visited the campus during the placement drive of the college.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides scholarships to merit students. The scholarship for SC/ST/PD students is also available. Students can also apply for scholarships from National Scholarship Portal and can avail national scholarship facility allotted to NITs. To know about the eligibility criteria of the scholarship program of the college you can visit the official website of the college.
