IIIT Kota Review

I am from Rajasthan and I was looking for a national level college where I don't have to be part of the hostel and with a good placement record. During my research, I found that IIIT Kota suits my priority and hostel facility is also not mandatory for students whose home is within a 50km radius. To be part of IIIT Kota candidate must secure 60% marks in graduation from the concerned stream and you have to appear for the entrance test followed by an interview round. If you have qualified GATE exam that can also be considered. IIIT Kota is mentored by Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur (MNIT Jaipur) which is also a very popular institute in India and situated at MNIT Jaipur.

The curriculum of the college is according to the industrial norms. The curriculum is designed to impart knowledge to students about the working process of hardware systems and their importance in the field of telecommunication, energy and electronics sectors. The curriculum matches the international industrial standards.

The college placement committee helps you out to identify companies for you for internship. The internship stipend depends according to the internship tenure and the company. Companies like Oracle, Amazon, Infosys, Wipro, etc visit the campus during the internship program. If you are lucky enough you can get pre-placement offers like 5 of our batchmates received the pre-placement offer from Infosys.

The placement cell of the college is very good and professional. They know how to attract companies for placement and they are also well aware of the college student interest. The placement cell helps the student throughout the placement drive. Companies like Deloitte, MAQ Software, IBM, Samsung SDS, Microsoft, Jio, Credit Suisse, Cvent, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Capgemini, Publicis Sapient, etc visited our campus during the placement drive. The highest package for our batch went up to 23 LPA and the average package was around 9 LPA. I also received a package of 15 LPA from Microsoft.

The scholarship program from central and state governments is available. Education loan facility is also available from the campus bank and the admission staff also guides and cooperate during the education loan process. I was not lucky enough to receive a scholarship so I have to pay the complete fees.

The campus life of the college is good. As the campus operates from the Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur (MNIT Jaipur) campus the college organize very few events. Students can also participate in the fests of Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur (MNIT Jaipur). Every type of books are available in the library. There are total 3 canteens in the college that are open 24x7 which is a good place to spent time with friends. The college also organize the sports events where almost all the sports interested students participate.

As I was not the part of the hostel most of our class mate was part of the hostel. The rooms are available on sharing and single occupancy rooms. The last year students are provided with single occupancy room. The food quality of the mess is good. The rooms are equipped with bed, cupboard and a study table for students. The warden and the hostel staff is very friendly and cooperative.

The faculty of the college is very professional and supportive. Students can easily approach the faculty to clear their doubt and faculty also help you out without any problem. The faculty also motivate students to participate in extra-curricular activities as they believe that overall personality development of students is important for professional growth.
