NIT Delhi Review

NIT Delhi is a very popular college for engineering in India. I got an opportunity to be part of the college and I grabbed it. The candidate must secure a minimum of 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST students) from the concerned discipline. After your GATE result is declared you must register yourself for CCMT counseling. Then you have to pay Rs 30000/- as seat acceptance fees and Rs 10000/0 for reserved students. Then allotment letter is missed and you have to show that letter during the admission process of the college. I got 765 and I was able to qualify GATE with good marks so NIT was the best option for me as the college is also quite popular for its placement and my target was to get placed in good company.

The curriculum of NIT New Delhi is one of the best in class. The curriculum is divided into 2 years with a blend of theoretical and research work. First-year of the program is dedicated to the theoretical and overall skill development of the students and the second year is dedicated to research work which helps to understand a student's theoretical concepts in a practical way.

The internship depends on the choice of the students because most of the time of students after completing the first year are utilized in research work and innovation activity. Internship totally depends on the choice of students but that does not mean you can't go for an internship. There are companies available for internships and the stipend depends according to the company.

The placement of NIT Delhi without a doubt are best in business. The placement was also one of the main reasons why I opted for NIT Delhi. The placement record of the college is 100%. Companies like TATA, L&T, Adani, Arceller Mittal, Reliance, etc visit the campus during the placement drive. The highest package that any student received in our batch was 36 LPA and the average package was around 25 LPA. I was also able to secure a package of 27 LPA.

The college campus life is very exciting and full of joy. The NIT intercollege sports tournaments are the main attraction point for students. The college has teams in almost every sport whether it's cricket, football, volleyball, kabaddi, tennis, badminton, basketball. table tennis you just name it. The college library is big yo don't have to purchase academics from outside all types of books are available from the library even online study material is also available. The Tech and Cultural fest is a 2-3 days event where each and every student shows their potential and skill.

The hostel facility is pretty basic. The food is just okay not so tastefully but you can eat it but after some time you will get bored from it and the menu is limited. Probably it is because the campus is operating from a temporary campus. The facility is pretty average but all the basic amenities are available for the students.

The faculty members are very experienced and master of their department. The faculty is of Ph.D. level and they are very good at research work. Most of the professors guide students as mentors and help them to polish their skills.
