Course Curriculum Overview

5

I particularly choose ECE cause I am more interested in learning about the micro technology and developing it. The curriculum here is related to the course as far as my knowledge is concerned, Including the main core subject depth this curriculum also contains the extra knowledge and extra things like C programming, data structures etc which are pretty helpful in solving the daily life problems by using electronics and electronics chips. Thre are 2 main exams in each sem, A mid sem exam conducted after 2-3months after the commencement of a semester and an end sem exam conducted for every semester. There are also many other surprise tests and quizzes which comes under daily evaluation. Iam sure you will get an all round development by taking these type of prestigious courses in an prestigious institution

Internships Opportunities

5

Many companies like Wipro, Microsoft, infotech and some Japan based companies are also hiring from NIT Delhi. They also offer stipend of minimum more than 17k per month, if you are good enough you might get more On recent drive one of our senior got a stipend of 72k per month which is very remarkable as he is earning 72k per month without even completing his course in institution

Placement Experience

4

The students become eligible for the campus placements from 3rd year itself, so most probably from 6th sem they can participate in placement drives. You will get internship and it is quite essential for you to get a full time job opportunity. In the 8th sem it is compulsory to do internship as it is the only criteria for getting pass in the 8th sem. Many companies like Wipro, Microsoft and other Japan based companies have been hiring in our college The highest package of our college is 88lpa(off campus) and a 66lpa(on campus) surprisingly both are achieved by EEE students. The average package is around 12-14 lpa including all the branches. Almost 80% of the students are getting placed My plans after this degree is either to do a great job or to further study mtech if possible (only in IIT)

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for Registration and academics which includes all fees like lab fees, sports fees, development fees, cultural fees etc is 80,800 per sem The fee structure for hostel is as below AC - 28000 per sem Non AC - 18000 per sem The will take a 20000 of extra as caution fee only in 1st semester The above mentioned is the fees of mine( a general category student with family income greater than 5lpa ) For a general category student (family income 2-5lpa) the hostel fees remains same where as institution fee will be around 48000 For a general category student (family income less than 2lpa) the hostel fees remains same and have to pay around 28000 as institution fee For a student having category SC/ST need to only pay for hostel fees if he opts for a hostel and there will be no institution fee .

Campus Life

5

There are many more events annually and much technical festivals, almost on every Eve and festival we celebrate a lot. There are even annual celebration and fests in sports names ZEAL conducted on every February. Almost all books around 5,6k varieties and around 20-30k books are available in our library The facilities and classroom technological use is soo good. A wide variety of sports like Chess, tabletennis ,cricket, football, basketball, lawn tennis, badminton, athletics, short put, Javelin throw and what not almost all sports are there with a qualified coach for training There are even many clubs like photography, technical, social clubs etc in which you can participate

Hostel Facilities

4

The room provided to me is 3 sharing room There are also 2sharing and 6 sharing rooms, the room which you might get completely depends on your luck and the fees is same for all If AC room, you have to pay 28000 per semester and if Non AC room you need to pay 18000 per semester Being a South Indian I don't like the dishes and some food items provided in the hostel, but some dishes are ok But you need to pay 3800 rs INR per month as mess fee If you rent a pg near by all your food and other needs will be done under 6000/- per month, whereas you need to pay around 8-9k if you are in hostel, but you also need to check security and transport if you are taking a PG

Admission

I got 99.31 percentile in JEE MAIN 2024 and 118 marks in JEE ADVANCED 2024 . Being a general category student, it is difficult for me to get into any of the IIT in a good branch( the same year there is an abrupt hike in cutoff marks nearly 20-30 marks than previous year) So I decided to get into NIT with a good branch rather than other courses that Im getting in new IITs Now my best available options are EEE in NIT warangal, ECE in NIT Calicut and ECE or CSE in NIT kurukshetra/ Delhi I was pssionate in choosing ECE branch as I was keen on learning about chips, and semiconductor devices and their wide applicability. So either I can to Calicut, kurukshetra or Delhi. I have choosen Delhi over the others as it is a capital city and there is a high exposure to industries. Calicut nd kurukshetra also offers a good and those are old NITs, but it is a bit difficult even for transportation and even flight charges are so high for Calicut from my home town (VSKP). So keeping all these things in mind I choose NIT Delhi ECE The admission into NIT Delhi is only though JEE MAINS, so score well minimum 99+ percentile to get a decent branch in NIT Delhi(for a general category student)

Faculty

5

The faculty members here are so effectionate and helpful. You will definitely get a full support from the faculty of not Delhi if you are planning to do something big and helpful for the society. The faculty to student ration is around 1:20 and it's quite fascinating. You can approach to the room of faculty whenever they are free and I assure you will definitely get a wonderful response The number of exams will depend on your branch and for our branch ECE there are 5 written subjects and 3 labs . And almost all these are basic as I am telling about sem 1 and you will definitely get a core subject in this sem

Interview Experience

5

Yeah I have faced an interview regarding the clubs. I have participated in the interviews for being a volunteer in photography and technical clubs as of now And the questions were quite basic and are mostly common questions. They will see whether you are capable or not and whether you have intrest or not

Night Life

5

Gym is closed at 9pm and you can chill and build up your body till then. After that the canteen here is open till 12o clock at night, especially during winter and exam times. Library and all other areas are closed after 9 pm except the canteen. So you can enjoy. You are not allowed to go out after 8pm and you get a nice night view from the clg as it is situated near highway only As it is just 20km away from central delhi you can hangout at any of the places and most tourist sports are available for you near Delhi. Inside the campus you also get spots and chilling spots to chill and spend some time seeing the nature

Other Applied Colleges

National Institute of Technology - [NITC] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electronics & Communication Engineering)

My main motto is to do my favourite course in any of the top colleges of India. I even got seat in colleges like Amrita and VIT(ECE) and even other NITs and IITs (not any desired branch) So my best available options are NIT Calicut or Delhi I choose delhi

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive, with practical modules and industry-focused content that influenced my choice. It effectively bridges academic knowledge with real-world applications. However, adding more case studies and interdisciplinary approaches could enhance learning. Exams are well-timed but could better assess critical thinking. Teaching methods would benefit from integrating more interactive and hands-on sessions.
