All courses in this college are good and my decision to pursue BBA here also got strong due to this. Shikshayatan College is accredited by NAAC Grade''A" and it is Calcutta University affiliated. The college was 18th for overall 2020 rankings by TOI & it is also approved by NCTE group. Students must have a good qualifying score after which PI is organised for final selections.
Course Curriculum Overview
There are over 200 faculty members in our college and the faculty:student ratio is also good which helps us to learn in the best possible manner. The BBA- H course has a total of 144 credits and it is spreaded across the 6 semesters or the 3-year course. Candidates also get to decide electives at the end of Semesters from a number of options.
Internships Opportunities
Yes our college is a good place to have a decent internship offer because some famous firms of the domain visit the college. It was a good opportunity for all those students who were willing to get real time working exposure.
Placement Experience
The college has a Placement team which includes a number of members and annually 65-70% of the students get placed. Companies like Wipro, ITC, Mahindra, Deloitte, PWC and Indigo visit the college to recruit students as per their calibre and talent. To help students perform better in the drive the college organised a number of Events throughout the course. The average package for our batch was nearly INR 3.5 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
As the course is semester based thus the fee is also having distribution on semester basis. We had to pay the BBA (H) fee of INR 1.67 in equally divided sem shifts of INR 27,880 per semester. For Meritorious students good scholarship benefits were available at Shri Shikshayatan College.
Campus Life
Shri Shikshayatan College keeps it's students happy with the balanced event's it organises in the campus. Along with the events organised, the Library facility, Computer lab, Classroom Infrastructure and Industry talks are also very good in our college. We were also given a Cafeteria, Gymnasium and Common room for our convenience. It was always a great time to read something new in the library and I visited it on weekly basis
Hostel Facilities
Our college has hostels for students belonging to out of the city and they are given a pretty familiar environment so that they don't feel any difficulty. The college hostel has been giving good mess and accommodation services but some students prefer to stay in PG's due to the restrictions but some even like them as they help them to remain disciplined and get a better lifestyle. The charges for such services vary according to the facilities opted.
Admission
Students must have completed their XII with minimum 60% marks to become eligible for the BBA programme. The admission will be based upon the Merit Scored by the candidates in the final list for which factors like Interview round, Entrance & Group exercise are also noted.
