Remarks

The reason for preferring this institute was that it is located at the IT hub - Pune, because of which there are high chances of getting placement opportunities. My decision was fairly correct as I'm getting lots of opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview

The academics are good and the faculties always help the students in case of doubts. The term exams happen as per the schedule which are informed two to three weeks prior of its commencement. If the student has understood the concepts discussed in the class, it is easy for him/her to score well.

Class Size: 90Course Fees: INR 720000 per year

Placement Experience

Campus placements start at the beginning of the seventh semester. Companies start visiting for 6 months internship roles as well as full time opportunities. The highest package for the 2021 batch was 36 LPA while the average package was of 12 LPA. I have also got a placement opportunity recently of 12 LPA.

Fee Structure And Facilities

State scholarships are applicable in the institute like of MP. Many companies visits the institute in the final year for placements and penultimate year for internships. Some of the companies are Gojek, Robert Bosch, Deloitte, FinIQ, Nutanix, UBS, ZS Associates.

Campus Life

There are various events held at the institute, from technical fests like I Conclave (September) to non technical events like Eklavya (December), which is the annual sports event of our institute. Participation of the students in all of the clubs is high. Clubs include BiTLegion (Technical/Coding Club), Eclectic (literature club), Vanity Crew (Dance club), Saaz (Music Club) and E-cell ( entrepreneurship club)

Admission

I gave the JEE Mains 2018 Exam after which I mentioned my college choices through JoSAA. I got admission into this institute after getting shortlisted from the subsequent JoSAA rounds.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. This College was on my top priority as It is in the city Pune . The Emerging IT city in India . As the Name is IIIT it also attracts me . At the time of Counselling i have filled Branches in ECE of NIT and CS of IIIT . Initially i was alloted IIIT Bhopal but inn the 5th round IIIT Pune was alloted . My Parent was happy as Pune is Nice city. My College Infrastructure is Good but not as expected. If we compare my College to Private than it is far Good and all the facilites are nice. Yeah we can say that we are new but we can say that we are not less than New NIts. For Entrance in IIIT Pune You need to qualify the JEE Main Exam with Good Percentile. My experience of iiit pune

I also applied to cse at IIIT jabalpur and allahbad, and chemical engineering at nit Warangal but I couldn't get a seat there. I was also getting ece in iiit jabalpur and cse in spit mumbai but I decided to take iiit pune cse over it.
