Anonymous's Review On Indian Institute Of Science Education And Research - [IISER], Mohali

My interest was in research and my aim was to get admission in IISER Pune but due to low rank IISER Mohali was offered to me and I accepted the offer letter. But today I am so happy that I choose IISER Mohali over IISER Pune.

Course curriculum consist of 2 minor years and 3 major year and each year have two semesters having 9 exams and 4 labs exam per semester. All professors are scientist doing their own Research work. Faculties are very humble and every time approachable.

You have to search your own job and you have to approach industries and companies if you want you to do job just after your 5 year degree. There is no placement cell in the college and the institute itself doesn't want placement cell in the college.

Campus Life is very enjoyable. Every day is exciting day and full of lot of fun events. No student sleep before 2-3 am in the morning. All small and large festivals are celebrated with a lot of fun. Insomnia is the annual fest of college which means sleepless nights.

KVPY-SX * 5000 per month which I received in 4 installments of each 15000 and one installment of 20,000 for internship, books and other researchful activities.

Well furnished campus with a lot of greenary and a peaceful environment. All sports facilities and gym Facility is there. Labs have a lot of modern and highly costly equipments and machines. Every student can go to lab and do some work under guidance of PhD and professors if someone wants.

One visitor hostel where some PhDs, chief guests and parents stay there. Total 4 hostels for students near to lecture hall complex. Mess in every hostel. Guest room is there in every hostel. Cold and hot water Facility. Functional lifts are there. Girls and boys combined hostels.
